I looked over all the men here, planning their deaths.

But I would have to wait until we had all the information first. Then, I would have my revenge.

“Katerina,” I whispered as I knelt to take her face in mine.

She had been tossed into a cell when we arrived, and I came down under the guise of playing the friendly face for information.

“Alexsei.” She whispered, her voice broken and her eyes empty.

“Are you okay? Tell me what happened?” I asked, needing to understand.

“I just found out this morning.” She whispered and I swore under my breath, knowing I had to be careful.

“But I lost it.” She added, her lower lip trembling.

“Just like I lost Riley and Hamish. It’s Yuri all over again.” She said as tears silently fell down her cheeks.

I desperately wanted to hold her, but I knew the cameras were on us and if I showed any signs of weakness right now, my cover was gone and I was dead.

“They got out,” I said gently and she looked at me, frowning in confusion.

“Riley and Hamish. I got them out.” I whispered and her eyes filled with hope.

I was going to kill Konstantin for destroying her like this.

Then I would find whoever it was in Moscow and destroy them too.

“What did you say?” She asked and I smiled.

“I got them out. They are safe. With Leo.” I added and she inhaled a shuddering breath, closing her eyes with relief.

“Isn’t this romantic?” Konstantin said from behind me, and I went still.

“What did you say?” I asked him, spinning around slowly as I got to my feet.

“I knew you were the rat. Just like Yuri.” He said with a grin, and I reached for my gun, going still when Konstantin raised his own.

“Tut. You think I didn’t come prepared?” He said with a nod to my chest, and I looked down to see the red dot indicating a sniper had his sight on me.

“I knew you would fuck up and leave a trail somewhere. But it doesn’t matter. We have been watching you since you started to investigate White Fox.” He said with a smile, and I felt the ground beneath me fall away.

He smiled as he pulled up a chair, swung it in front of the bars of the cell, and slammed the door shut, locking me in with Katerina.

“Let’s chat, shall we?”

Leo

“I’m coming with you.” I snarled as Hamish and Riley began putting on their bulletproof vests.

“You can’t walk, man. You need to stay here.” Riley said and I growled with frustration.

“I can help.” I snapped and a hand dropped to my shoulder.

“You are more help staying here and keeping safe. You can watch on the cameras.” Caleb said with a smile.

I was still trying to wrap my head around the idea that this man, a priest, was in a polyamorous relationship with Aurora who happened to be the head of the Italian Mafia.
