The ship stuttered and everyone stumbled over, then Pixa’s voice suddenly blared out over the intercom. “ALERT ALERT. I STILL HAVEN’T GOTTEN INTO THE MAINFRAME OF THIS SHIP. CHLOE IS IN TROUBLE. ANDY IS IN TROUBLE. RICON IS STUPID. THANKS FOR ATTENDING MY BROADCAST.”A song blared on the intercom thathadto be an Earth song. There were lyrics switching between Spanish and English, with male and female voices switching back and forth. There was a pause.“I WILL BE NICE ENOUGH TO PLAY THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE DANCE. YOU ARE ALSO WELCOME.”
Chex ran past me as he tried to gain control of the ship while the video of dancing humans continued to play on the vid screens. “What’s going on, Ricon?!” he screamed over the music.
“It’s the ship I stole. She might be sentient? Or a virus?”
One Imperium bodyguard ran to me. Why didn’t he go with Andy? “Did she say that Andy was in trouble?”
“I…I…”
“HEY DUDES. I THINK I’VE FIGURED OUT HOW TO— ” The ship jerked and changed direction.“GOT IT. THANKS. GOING TO EARTH.”
“Why does this ship keep getting hijacked?”
Onyx ran past us and jumped up on the bodyguard’s shoulder. “Why didn’t the cat go with Andy?”
Chex’s armor shifted on his cheeks. He knew something was weird about the cat. “Onyx says Andy’s fine . . . at the moment. But Chloe is at work.”
Frax. “Pixa! Where is Chloe?”
“GPS said lab. Her vitals are off the wall.”
“Ricon! Have you been lying to me?!” Chex screamed. “Were you on Earth?”

Chloe
Tymla said, “Look! It’s a morynth spaceship.”
“Let’s work on our own ship,” Rzel said.
Tymla jerked me over and pushed me onto a table. I groaned as my head hit the table. “I’m tying up the girl right now.” He had found some electrical tape and wrapped it around my wrists then he threw me on a chair that was in the lab. “Do you think she’s worth anything now that she’s mated to the morynth?'“
“With enough drugs, she can be worth a ton.”
“We could sell her,” Tymla said as he slid a finger down my spine.
“He took the grayl diode!” Rzel yelled from their ship.
“How will we get the ship to work?”
Tymla paced anxiously around me, their heavy breaths filling the air. “The morynth ship. She can get it to go.”
Rzel peeked around the side of the ship. “You’re right. And then we can sell her. She’s worth a ton.”
The alien grabbed and slung me over his shoulder. This sucked. I preferred it when it was Ricon doing this to me. I tried to kick around when something black blurred past his feet. That looked like a cat. Why was there a cat here?
Calm down, Chloe. Help is on the way. I’ll try to prevent the morynth ship from responding to you,a male voice said in my head.
“Who’s that talking to me? Who’s in my head?” I screamed.
Tymla dropped me. “What did she say?”
“Someone was in my head. Stop it!” I screamed. I looked up from the floor and saw Onyxsitting on top of the morynth ship. It had to be Andy’s cat. How did he get in here?
Calm down, human. ‘Tis I. You’ve known me since you were a child.
