The sun is blinding and it takes me a few seconds for my eyes to adjust.

The second my eyes land on him, I smile. “Took you long enough to get here, you miserable fuck.”

Python’s laugh rumbles deep in his chest.

I head over to the gate and open it for him, allowing him to bring his bike in.

He rides in and I press the button for the gate to shut again.

Once his bike is off, he dismounts and walks up to me. “I was trying like hell to talk myself out of this shit,” he waves his hand up in the air.

Clapping him on the back harshly, I look into his eyes. “You’re not gonna regret this, brother, I promise.”

Python shakes his head like he doesn’t believe me, and I understand his uncertainty.

We’ve been on the road for as long as we can remember.

“It took me a while to get used to it too,” I admit, choosing my words carefully. “But now I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Getting some roots has been good to me.”

Python raises his brows and chuckles, “It’s only been good to you ‘cause you got some regular pussy. Never thought I’d see you settlin’ down.”

Shaking my head, I chuckle. “Neither did I, but here I am. Go get your bag and I’ll take you inside, introduce you to everyone.”

Python heads over to his bike and unstraps his bag.

Walking back over, I watch as he takes in the place.

“There’s one thing I didn’t tell you,” I state, and from the look on his face, he might walk out of here if it’s something he thinks is bad. “Amara doesn’t want the officers living in the clubhouse.”

Python furrows his brows in confusion, “What the fuck kinda club is this?”

“A new age, modernized one apparently.” I answer him, waving my hand for him to follow me. “Stay at the club for a couple of weeks, then we can find you a place to live nearby.”

We walk in through the front door of the clubhouse, pride swarming my chest seeing the amazing job Oakleigh’s done putting the place together.

Python whistles, “Damn, this is one of the nicest clubs I’ve been to.”

Stepping further into the club, I motion toward the couches and bar area. “That’s Doom, Brick, Boulder, Lashes, and Rooster. They’re all prospects. Axel is our road captain and he’s up in Montana right now, with our Sergeant at Arms, Zorro.”

Python nods, taking in the space. “Where’s your Prez?”

Amara’s cool voice fills the air, “I’m right here.”

Python whips his head around and looks at her dead on, his eyes widening in surprise.

He turns to look at me, an amused smirk tugging at his lips. “You like to leave all the good shit out. Didn’t know she was this smokin’”

Amara plasters on the fakest smile she can, “In your wildest dreams, buddy. I’m a taken woman.”

The plane’s wheels touch down with a screech, jolting me awake from my blissful nap.

I hate flying, so I tend to take Benadryl to help knock my ass out a bit.

No matter how short the flight is, I just can’t deal with it.
