“I beg to differ.” I held my hands up unapologetically.

Lane charged me, wrapping his hands around my throat. “Why you fucking punk!”

We fell backward, and it knocked the wind out of me as we landed on the floor.

“Asshole!” I snarled back.

In an instant, people crowded around us trying to separate us, and I lifted my leg at the right time, kneeing him hard in the nuts, knocking the wind out of him.

Once they pulled him away from me, I scrambled back to stand, but the stench smelled closer. Crawling forward, I sniffed the legs of the people around Lane, and gagged when I sniffed Elnora.

“Why do you stink?” I narrowed my eyes.

“Really, Anders, that’s all the manners your son has?” She snapped at my pop.

I stood up from the floor and used my size to intimidate her. “Why. Do. You. Smell. Like. The. Woman. Who. Threw. Water. Balloons. At. Me?”

“You think you’re so much better than my son?” She snarled at me. “But you’re not. You’re trash!”

I saw Bradley behind her, and her words came back to me,Go look elsewhere for your missing omega.“How did that woman know I was looking for my mate?” I looked over Elnora’s head to Brad.

He shrugged. “How the fuck should I know?”

“Did you tell her?” I yelled back.

“NO!” He snapped. “Myra was just being nice when I ran away from you!”

Elnora whipped around and gave Bradley a shove. “Shut. Up.”

“Elnora?” Lane’s booming voice echoed as she turned to face him.

“What?” Her head bobbed with the word.

He shook his head. “You didn’t?”

She shoved my chest. “Stop blaming your omega running off on my son!”

I felt my eyebrow lift. “How did you know he ran off?”

Lane stepped closer, his face pale. “Elnora.” He grabbed her arms.

“Let go of me.” She struggled against his hold.

“Who is Myra?” Dillon asked, looking around at the Grimclaw’s in the room.

Ivory shook his head and walked over to Lane and Elnora. “I thought you said she perished.”

“Who the fuck is Myra?” I snapped. “What the hell is going on?”

I had to strain to hear Lane. “Myra was my omega’s twin sister.”

Behind me, my dad gasped. “Oh, no.”

“What?” I spun to my dad. “What?!”

“Word was after they cast her from Grimclaw, Brokenridge had taken her in.” He shook his head. “The official word was she died, but some claimed she lived there and found her fated mate.”

Elnora slipped from Lane’s grasp, and she lashed out, slicing his face. “My sister didn’t deserve to be cast out!”
