Thomas, Evan and the rest of the older men applauded and were joined by everyone else in the dining room. I spun around and walked over to the eldest Carson, Tim, and leaned in.

“I know I made a mess of things. Please bill me for the damages.”

“Sweetheart.” He smiled. “This one’s on me.”

“Thank you.” I looked over at Thomas. “Would you like to join us at home to celebrate?”

He nodded. “Let me finish my dinner here.”

Nodding, I walked over and held my arms out for Charlie, picking him up. “Wanna go home and get pizza?”

“Dillon and me love pizza.”

I looked at Charlie in shock. “Say it again.”

“Dillon and me love pizza?” He shrugged.

“Let’s go home.” Henry leaned in and kissed me.

“Home.” The boys cheered.

Henry

It’s been eight months since we tied the knot and I watched my Holly Hobbie tear my mother a new ass. Last I heard, she and my aunt moved away from Port Stella because they didn’t want to live in a place where they were humiliated.

Our holidays were amazing, and we added a new puppy to the family. Ellie and Hercules tolerate him, and Miranda has more patience than I do. This morning, he decided to dig a hole in the backyard that could be used as a bunker.

I sat back in my chair, looking at the blueprint on my desk. We were ahead of schedule on this project and that left us wiggle room for the new changes the client wanted.

While I stared at the blueprint, the door opened and my dad came in.

“You look confused.” He walked over to get a cup of coffee.

I shook my head. “Not so much confused and wondering why they want to make changes this late in the game.”

“That happens.” He shrugged and took a seat. “Evan and I would like to take the grandkids to Legoland this weekend.”

“You never took me to Legoland.” I pouted, joking with him.

“Yeah.” He nodded. “I was a bit too smashed for that.”

“As long as Miranda doesn’t mind. I don’t.”

“She doesn’t.” He smiled at me and took a drink. “I already asked her.”

“Great. My wife is your favorite.” I blew a raspberry.

He laughed. “After the way she put Marge in her place? I’d give her the world.”

“That was epic.” I chuckled. “Hell of a way to remember our wedding day.”

“It was indeed.” He cleared his throat. “So, you ever going to take your wife on a honeymoon?”

I drained my cup and scratched my chin. “Ya’ know? I want to, but she doesn’t know where she wants to go.”

“Maybe you should just make plans and take her there or have her meet you?”

Sitting forward, I tilted my head. “You know what? That could work.”
