“Yep.”

I grab all of Camilla’s poetry books, which I’ll make room for in my—our—place. Surprisingly, she forgot all about her ballet gear. Her pointe shoes, as she told me they were called. The endless amount of leggings and leotards, tutus, and glittery makeup. I grab it all, saving the studio for last.

When I enter, it’s like a different dimension. There are paintings everywhere, beautiful—no, breathtaking—and tables with palettes, canvases, and paintbrushes. I gather as much as I can, sans paintings. She can decide which ones she wants to take with us. Our bedroom is pretty empty of wall art, so maybe she will want to hang some of hers.

Once we’re done packing everything, we load the trailer and get out of there as fast as possible. Thankfully, no one saw us and we can go to the storage unit in peace. We unload everything into the climate-controlled space and then take a break.

Ilya taps his truck. “Guess this baby came in handy after all that shit you talked about Ford, huh?”

I roll my eyes, “Guess so.” Ilya and Dmitri both smirk, getting in the truck, and tap it again. “Well, thanks anyway. I really appreciate this.”

“I can’t believe you’re getting hitched, man.”

It’s my time to smirk. “I saw what I wanted, and I took it.”

“Can’t blame you for that,” Ilya says, and Dmitri looks at him with heat in his eyes. Aaaand that’s my cue to let them get out of here. “Pick me up in three hours?”

“Three hours?” Dmitri asks.

“Yeah.” I nod, looking back at the storage unit. “I’m unpacking for her and setting it all up.”

“Oh,” Dmitri chuckles. “You have it bad, don’t you?”

You know what? No use in denying it. “You know I do.”

“Alright, well, just call when you’re almost ready,” Ilya says.

“I will.”

I’m lucky I have good friends, otherwise I would’ve never been able to pull this off. Grabbing the clothing racks I took from Camilla’s house, I start to unpack. It’s a good thing I left everything on hangers, pretty much anticipating this exact situation. I grabbed some plastic drawers from my house on the way out with Ilya and Dmitri, and within a few more hours I have a closet before me. Everything is organized, not by Camilla’s standards, I’m sure, but she can always fix it to her liking.

Nikolai

Done. Now come home.

Camilla

It’s bad luck to spend the night together before the wedding.

Nikolai

Come home NOW.

Camilla

Okay…

Ilya takes me back home to the apartment and I wait for Camilla. Within minutes of arriving she’s knocking on the door.

I open it. “Hey, princess.” I grab her by the back of the neck and pull her toward me, then crash my lips against hers. She moans, which makes my cock hard. “Welcome home.”

I hold up a key for her and her eyes widen. I guess the situation feels more real today.

“Hi,” She croaks out, then clears her throat. “You really did take everything, didn’t you?”

I nod slowly. “Is that not what you wanted?”

“I—” She looks stunned again. “It’s just that I didn’t expect it.”
