Headed to the interior designer’s office in a few minutes. Since the realtor got back to me this morning and said he could get us into the new house, I’m going to bring her there so she can start taking measurements.

Me

I want shit ordered as soon as possible, so have her make mock-ups of each room immediately.

Rowan

Yes, sir. LOL.

Me

We’re moving in 2 weeks, baby. I want the house perfect for you. We still have time to make it perfect for our little one.

How are you feeling this morning?

Rowan

The doc wasn’t kidding about the second trimester. Aside from being tired, I’m pretty good. The breakfast you made is staying put, and I even dug into some pineapple after you left for work. ;)

Me

Don’t rush into the office. We have no meetings today. Take full advantage of that. Shit, take the day off.

Rowan

Not my style—you know that.

Me

Are you still good with me telling my family today?

Rowan

We’re in the clear. No reason to hide it from them anymore.

Me

When you get to the office, we’ll tell them together.

Rowan

Cooper, we’ve talked about this. You’re going to tell your fam. I’m going to tell mine. I still think it’s better that way.

Me

I was just seeing if you’d changed your mind.

Rowan

Have you seen Rhett this morning?

Me

We passed each other in the hallway. It was silent and uneventful.

Rowan

He dug at me in our family group text and said I’m never in the office anymore and I’m barely working. We’ve been to Canada five times in the last month. Just because I’m not at the office doesn’t mean I’m not working. For him to even question my work ethic literally makes me bananas.
