“Bye, guys! I’ll see you tomorrow morning!” I say, and they both rush over to hug me before they follow after their uncle to his truck.
I watch while he helps them up and buckles them into car seats. They wave as he backs up, and I smile, waving back before I head inside to find my husband.
I hear the shower on upstairs, and I grin as I hurry to join him. I tug my clothes off and tiptoe into the bathroom. Steam fills the room, and a new gust comes out when I open the shower door and step in behind my husband.
“Need a hand?” I ask him, and he smirks as he turns to face me.
“From you? Always,” he says as he pulls me into his arms and kisses me.
I smile against his lips, letting my hands run over his wet, slick body.
“Happy anniversary,” I whisper, and he smiles down at me.
“Happy anniversary, Lena. I love you.”
“I love you too.”
He kisses me again, and I smile as I let him lift me in his arms and show me just how much he loves me.
