“Yes,” I rasped out.
“Yes?” he asked, like he thought there was another option.
“Of course! Yes!” I cried out.
He grabbed ahold of me and pulled me flush against him before capturing my lips. I kissed him back eagerly. Terry ended the kiss when I began to moan into this mouth.
“Hang on a second. Hang on a second,” he kept saying. “We’ve got to get this on you.” After lifting the ring from the box, he held it out to me. I gave him my hand, and the ring slipped perfectly onto my finger.
“It’s so beautiful. Thank you, I love it.”
“Just like you,” he said in reply. I flushed at the compliment.
This time, when Terry captured my lips, he lowered me to the floor and covered my body with his. And that is where we spent the rest of the evening. Celebrating our engagement, the continuation of a love story that should have never ended. Celebrating that we would be man and wife one day, with a family of our own.
