“I love you too.” She beams as she reaches up to kiss me.

When the kiss ends, I slip to the floor on one knee. I take a little box from my pocket.

“What are you doing?” She is frowning, but her eyes are shining.

“What I should have done that night we met on that bar.” I smile.

Opening the box, I hold it out to her, the diamond on the ring glinting even in the dim lighting of the club.

“Zoe, love of my life, I took away the chance for you to have the wedding of your dreams. Now, if you’ll let me, I’d like to right that huge wrong. So, Zoe Herrera, will you do me the absolute honor of marrying me? Again?”

Her eyes are wide and her mouth his ajar, her hands covering it.

My heart is trying to gallop its way out of my chest as I wait for her answer.

Yes, we are already married, but that was never her choice. Her answer today means everything to me.

She nods, a slight up and down of her head at first until she is almost frantically nodding.

“Yes. Oh my god, yes. Are you serious?”

I nod and laugh as I slide the ring onto her finger.

I hold her to me and kiss her with all my love.

This woman is my wife. My world. My life. My soul.

Ava, Camila, and Ruben hug and congratulate us, cheering and ordering champagne for the table.

As I look at our little group, our family of sorts, I’m overwhelmed with happiness and love.

This moment right here is the best moment of my life.

The love of my life chose to spend the rest of her life with me.

And I’ll do everything in my power to make her the happiest woman in the world.

Just as happy as she makes me.

EPILOGUE

Christian

One Month Later

“Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?” I ask as Zoe’s white dress flares out around her as we spin across the sand together.

Her face turns a pale shade of pink.

I smile and kiss her cheek, still in awe of how we finally got to this point.

A second wedding may not be traditional, but we needed it.

I needed to give Zoe the wedding she deserved, even though she tried to say it was fine.

She rolls her eyes, that stunning smile still in place as I dip her low.

“You’ve only told me about a thousand times tonight. I keep thinking that sooner or later, you’re going to get tired of saying it.”
