The decision to step back from the cartel was clear after she was kidnapped. I didn’t want to waste another minute of our lives away from each other.

If she was going to travel the world and perform, then I was going to go with her.

Camila didn’t need any convincing.

As the song ends, I glance at my watch. “We better get going. We don’t want to miss the plane.”

“We could dance for a little while longer.” She reaches up to run her fingers through my hair.

“I will dance with you all you want on the plane and at your shows, but we really do have to be going. We have a honeymoon to enjoy.”

She laughs and nods, stepping away from me.

I lace my fingers with hers and pull her through the trees and to the road where our car is waiting.

As we get in the car on the way to start the next chapter of our lives, a weight is lifted from me.

I feel like I can finally breathe. That puzzle piece in my life that’s been missing for so long is finally back.

It came in the shape of a woman who is far too good for me.

Zoe smiles at me, leaning her head on my shoulder.

I kiss her temple and hold her close as we head to the airport.

A lifetime spent with Zoe is all I need to feel complete.
