Her focus was absolute, her eyes scanning the pages with a deep intensity. The way she occasionally chewed the end of her pen, lost in thought, only made my cock that much harder.

Her hair fell in soft waves around her face, occasionally obscuring her view as she leaned closer to examine a particular detail. Each small gesture, whether it was the furrowing of her brow in concentration or the slight smile that played on her lips when she came across something interesting, made me want to take her right then and there.

I cocked my head, imagining her screams as she came for me, over and over until she collapsed on my desk.

I cleared my throat, keeping my thoughts to myself. She wanted to be included in my business, and I needed to let her.

There would be time for fucking later.

“So, Maci,” I began, my tone casual yet probing, “looking at these property acquisitions over the past few months, what pattern do you notice?”

She leaned over the table, her eyes scanning the documents thoughtfully. “There’s a concentration of purchases around the downtown area,” she observed, pointing to the marked locations on the map. “And they all seem to encircle these three key ventures we’ve been interested in.”

“Exactly,” I nodded, encouraging her to delve deeper. “Now, considering the buyers, what strikes you as unusual?”

Maci furrowed her brows, her gaze moving back and forth between the documents. “The buyers are varied, but the transactions are brokered by the same set of lawyers and agents. It’s almost as if they’re coordinated.”

Andreas chimed in, “Coordinated by whom, do you think?”

She paused, connecting the dots in her head. “It’s the Stefanidis family, isn’t it?” she finally said, her voice laced with confidence. “They’re the common link. They’re buying up these properties to block us from these ventures.”

I couldn’t help but smile at her accurate conclusion. “Precisely, Maci. The Stefanidis family has been trying to corner the market ever since I blew up their ships, subtly boxing us out.”

Her eyes lit up with realization and understanding. “So, they’re not just expanding their portfolio; they’re strategically undercutting us. This is more than just business expansion, isn’t it? It’s a power play.”

Andreas raised his eyebrows and looked at her. I knew him well enough to see that he was visibly impressed. “Exactly. They’re trying to weaken our position,” he confirmed.

“If the Stefanidis family is boxing us out of these ventures, why don’t we turn the tables on them?” she suggested, her eyes alight with strategic thinking.

I furrowed my brow and narrowed my eyes, suddenly more than a little intrigued. “Go on,” I prompted.

“Well,” she started, her fingers tracing potential moves on the map, “instead of directly competing for these properties, what if we start acquiring businesses that are peripheral yet essential to the ventures Stefanidis is interested in? We could control resources or services that their new properties would depend on.”

Andreas and I exchanged a look, both impressed by her line of thinking. “You mean, take over supply chains or smaller businesses that are crucial to operating those properties effectively?” Andreas asked, leaning in. He was just as mesmerized by her as I was.

“Exactly,” Maci replied, her confidence growing. “By doing this, we not only create leverage over the Stefanidis family, but potentially open up new revenue streams for us. We might even force them into a position where they have to negotiate with us on our terms.”

I nodded, considering her strategy. “That’s a sharp move. It turns their aggression into an opportunity for us. Not only do we protect our interests, but we also expand them, making a much bigger profit in the long run.”

“And it’s subtle,” added Andreas. “It doesn’t directly confront the Stefanidis family, which minimizes the risk of escalating tensions even further, but it’s enough to send a message if they’re smart enough to figure it out.”

“I’m proud of you, Maci,” I purred, and she beamed in my direction, a sense of accomplishment written all over her face. Her radiant smile lit up her features, and her eyes twinkled with glee. With a confident shake of her head, she pulled her shoulders back and smirked in my direction.

“I told you I was ready,” she replied, and I couldn’t help but chuckle at her forwardness.

“That you are, princess,” I said darkly, and her cheeks reddened.

It was clear that she was beginning to grasp the intricacies of my world. Her insight was not only spot on but showed a depth of understanding that went well beyond surface-level analysis.

Maybe, just maybe, I’d found my queen.

She had the potential to hold her own at my side, and that aroused me more than I cared to admit.

“Andreas?”

“Yes, boss?”

“Leave us. There’s some urgent business that I need to discuss with Maci,” I said darkly, and her cheeks flushed a deeper rose red.
