Beck slapped my back. “No worries, brother. I’ve dealt with far worse. At least your ex didn’t try to kill people like Sabrina’s did.”

“No, mine just tried to publicly humiliate the love of my life and turn the entire internet against her,” I drawled.

Beck snorted. “We do have a track record. West’s story almost seems tame by comparison.”

“Let’s hope it’s that way for the twins.”

Because Abby was already in the middle of her own weird, unpredictable story. One that I didn’t quite know how would turn out.

Although I constantly wished on the Wishing Tree she’d get her happy ending, too.

I cleared my throat. “Tell me everything’s ready? Abby should be bringing Katie by soon.”

Beck nodded. “It should be. Come on. The sooner you say it’s good, the sooner I can send Zach and Zane home and spend some alone time with my fiancée.”

Seeing Beck’s smile made me do the same. “Let’s hope they don’t want a double wedding.”

“No, I want Sabrina to have her own special day. I like Katie, I do. But my Sabrina deserves to be treasured and admired and the sole focus of her own wedding.”

Sabrina’s childhood had been shitty—full of verbal abuse and poverty. Katie had convinced Sabrina to volunteer a few times with children at the Starry Arts Haven Center who’d had similar experiences. The two had bonded over their work, and Katie even had plans to expand to Sonoma. That way Sabrina could help out closer to home, since her business and life were based in Starry Hills.

I squeezed Beck’s shoulder. “Don’t worry, I want Katie’s day to be special, too. Although our wedding will probably be sooner rather than later since Katie wants a big family.”

“You’re going to end up with ten kids, aren’t you?”

“Maybe not ten. But a few, yes.” I smiled. “The thought of parenthood is both fucking scary and amazing.”

“Well, we’re going to wait so Sabrina can build up her business. I’ll leave the baby making to you two. Sabrina and I will just practice a lot in the meantime.”

He winked, and I laughed. After throwing an arm around my brother’s shoulder, we headed into the orchard. It didn’t take long to reach the center, where there was a stone bench and the Wishing Tree.

And just like I’d asked, they’d decorated it perfectly. “She’s going to love this. Thanks, everyone.”

Aunt Lori walked over, and I hugged her. She said, “Anything for my lads.” She leaned back. “Abby will be here any minute, so let me round up the gang and we’ll get out of your hair.”

I leaned down and kissed her cheek. “Thanks, Aunt Lori. I’m glad you could be a part of this.”

She lightly swatted my arm. “Of course I’d be here.” Her expression softened. “All I ever wanted was for you six to find love and happiness like I did with my Tim.”

“Thanks, Aunt Lori. For everything.”

She patted my arm. “It was nothing.” She eyed Zach, who was tying a speaker to the tree. She walked toward him. “Hey! I see you, Zachary Wolfe! No speakers.”

As she got Zach to take it down—and look sheepish—West came up and nodded. “Good luck. Even though I’m sure she’ll say yes, it can be fucking nerve-racking.”

“Thanks. And thank Emmy for helping to keep Katie occupied long enough for you all to do this.”

“I will. She’s already planning weddings for Sabrina and Katie. Don’t even think of hiring anyone else.”

I laughed. “Noted. Besides, she is the best wedding planner I know. I’d be a fool to go anywhere else.”

West nodded. “Right answer.”

He winked, and I said goodbye to all my brothers and Aunt Lori. It wasn’t long before I heard Katie and Abby’s voices in the distance.

“Do we really need to stop by the orchard and make a wish right now? Nolan should be here any minute. It’s been a week, and I’ve missed him.”

Abby replied, “We’ll be quick. I promised Rafe I’d make a wish for something today. So I have to do it because I always keep my promises.”
