When I got home tonight, I really needed to ask my demon boyfriends if Mondays were created to test a human's patience and see if they stayed on the right path.

After spending practically every minute of the weekend with them, I was missing them even more than before. Picking my phone off the desk, I unlocked it just to look at my wallpaper: a picture I'd taken this morning of Nico, Star, and Ryk in bed after I'd crawled out to get ready for work.

"You must be a saint, Ducky," Divya said, her voice coming from somewhere above my shoulder and startling the shit out of me.

"What the fuck, D?" I asked as I turned around in my chair, and she merely grinned at me before taking her chair in the cubicle beside mine.

"Seriously, though. If I had three men as sexy as them waiting for me at home, I'd never come to work," Divya said, sounding dead serious.

"Trust me, if I didn't have a mountain of bills to pay, I'd quit tomorrow," I said, and her eyes widened. "What? Don't tell me you wouldn't?"

"Is that so, Mr. King?" a voice decidedly not Divya's said, and my expression mirrored Divya's before I wiped it off and turned around to face the manager.

"Sorry, sir. I was just joking."

"Less joking, more work, please."

"Yes, sir," I said, then turned to my screen without looking at Divya. I didn't look away from the screen until I heard the manager's office door close.

"Fuck, that was close," I hissed, and Divya shot me an apologetic look.

"Sorry, I didn't see him until he was right there."

"It's okay. It wasn't your fault anyway. I should mind my words," I said with a shake of my head.

My phone pinged just then, and I checked to make sure the manager was still in his office before checking it.

Ryk: Dakotaaaa, when are you coming home?

Nico: Ryk, he left less than an hour ago. You know he'll be back in the evening. Sorry, Dakota.

Ryk: But I miss him!

Smiling at my phone, I realized I wouldn't be able to get any work done if I didn't focus. Still, I couldn't help myself from sending a message in the group chat.

Me: I'll be home soon. <3

Putting my phone away and ignoring the pings that followed, I turned my attention back to the computer screen.

By the time the workday ended, I was exhausted and very much ready to go back home to my boyfriends. I still got a giddy feeling in my chest when I thought of them as my boyfriends.

"Heading home?" Divya asked as I stood up and slid my jacket on.

"Yep. Need me to drop you?" I asked, but she waved me off.

"Nah, I'm meeting some friends for drinks," she said, and I smiled.

"All righty, then. Hope you have fun. I'm taking off," I said, before quickly escaping into the elevator before the manager found me. He was very fond of giving me 'last-minute tasks' that took close to an hour to finish, and I wasn't going to let him delay me.

When I got home, Candy, Moon, and Ryk greeted me at the door. I could almost see a tail wagging behind Ryk, he was that excited.

"Hey, guys, I'm home!" I said as I stepped inside and closed the door behind me. Ryk hopped on his toes as he hovered in front of me, and after I'd hung up my jacket, I grabbed his waist and pulled him close to me.

"Did you miss me?" I asked, gazing down into his blue eyes as I used my free hand to tuck his hair behind his ear.
