“I agree.” I was happy to see a smile return to her face.
For the next several hours, we slipped into the hot tub a couple of times but mostly stayed in our cabana, talking and getting to know each other better before deciding to head to dinner.
When we reached Kayla’s door, I intended to kiss her before heading back to my room to get ready. But the second my lips touched hers, she wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me inside her room.
“Babe—” I paused for a second, surprised to hear the term of endearment leave my mouth. “I need to go back to my room and shower.”
“You can shower here.” She grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the bathroom.
“If I follow you in there, we’re going to do more than just get clean.”
She smirked. “Maybe that’s the point.”
We kicked off our clothes, and I grabbed a condom from my wallet while she turned on the shower.
When she faced me, she spied the packet in my hand. “You’re always prepared, aren’t you?”
“It would be dumb of me not to be if I’m spending time with you.”
I followed her into the shower, where we spent several minutes exploring each other’s bodies under the guise of soaping each other up. When I couldn’t wait another second to have her, I spun her around and placed her hands on the tiles. “Keep your hands there.”
Snatching the condom from the shelf I’d placed it on, I rolled it down my shaft. I stepped up behind Kayla and pulled her hips back a bit. I lined myself up with her entrance and slowly pushed inside.

“So, where are we going?” she asked as we walked hand in hand to the elevator.
“I thought we could try the steakhouse I wanted to take you to last night.”
“Do you think the paparazzi will be a problem again?”
I shook my head and told her about what Tommy had shared. “But I should tell you they published some pictures of us together online.”
She tilted her head. “They did?”
“Yeah, but from what Tommy said, they hadn’t identified you. I’m really sorry.”
She squeezed my hand. “Please don’t apologize. It’s not your fault, and it was pretty silly of me not to realize they’d post those photos.”
“Are you sure you’re okay?” I asked.
She laughed. “I’m sure my friends will tease me about it, but there are far worse things than being caught out with Blaine Roberts. I’ll be fine.”
She was taking everything in stride, and I was relieved. I knew I wanted to see her again even after we left Santa Barbara, and I was glad my lifestyle hadn’t completely freaked her out.
