I scoff to myself just as a knock sounds at my door, so I pull myself up off the couch to answer. Lucy stands with a bright smile, a folder, and a cup of coffee in hand.

“Afternoon!” She chirps, but her brightness dissolves when she catches a glimpse of my lip. “What happened to you?”

I reach up to touch my lip and roll my eyes playfully. “Wire hanger one, Tilly, zero “

She laughs. “Gotcha. Been there.”

Thankfully she didn’t press any further, but her expression didn’t show she was completely convinced. “Here’s everything you need. Sorry, I was hoping to swing by this morning, but it was a little hectic today.” She hands me the folder. “And I figured you’d need this.” She holds out the cup.

“Thank God,” I gasp.

“Anything else?” She asks.

I take a sip. “I think I’m good.”

“Ok. You need anything just call. I’ll be at the office all day and you know I’m just a few houses down.”

“Thanks, Luce,” I appreciate it.

She left with a wave. Lucy lived in the Fuller’s guest cabin just down the road. It came in handy when either of us needed to carpool and she popped in at least once a week, usually to bring us dinner.

With a sigh, I drop the folder on the table, sit down, and get to work. The sooner this is done, the sooner I could figure out what the heck I was going to do about Greyson Roy.

It was nearing six thirty when I finished up. I hadn’t heard from Greyson all day. I knew he was busy and frankly he didn’t owe me anything. I mean, he owed the apology, but other than that, we were still in unfamiliar territory.

My phone buzzes on the table and I quickly swipe it, hoping to see Greyson’s name flashing across my screen. My stomach sours when I read another name instead.

Blaine.

I silence it, just as I hear the front door open.

Greyson strides in and I perch my hands on my hips. “That door was locked.”

He smirks, waving a silver key. “I own this place, Rosie. Remember?”

“So, you just don’t even knock anymore?”

His steps close the distance between us. “I slept in your bed with your ass pressed against my cock all night. We’re past knocking, don’t you think?”

My jaw hangs open, but he just keeps walking past me, and into the small bathroom off the living room.

It takes a moment for me to get my mind off the way he said cock. Now I was picturing it….picturing me…

The toilet flushes and I blink. He steps out. “We’re going to Easton and Elle’s tonight.”

“For what?” My brows scrunch.

“Dinner.”

“Now?” I ask.

“Yes, now.”

“Greyson! A little heads up. I need to change.” I motion to my old sweats. “I look homeless. The split lip isn’t helping either.”

“You could wear a paper sack and still be the most beautiful girl in the entire room.” He drops down on one of the dining room chairs and crosses his arms. “But if you’re putting on jeans, wear the ones with the blue pockets. They make your ass look hot as fuck.”

I snort. “I’ve literally had those for years. Like since high school.”
