I guffaw. As if Alistair Ravenscroft ever goes to Tesco’s.
“You liked the club, right?” he asks.
“Yes.”
“It’s like that. Except it’s not a dark underground club. It’s usually at a luxury mansion somewhere beautiful. And everyone on the guest list is carefully vetted.”
I blink. “Okay.”
“You’re not feeling pressured? That’s not my intention. None of my … explanations are meant to pressure you. Just to give you a more accurate idea.”
I shake my head. Nope. Sounds pretty hot, if I’m honest. “It’s a definite yes.”
“Excellent,” he says, squeezing my foot. “I can’t wait to show you off to the horny randos.”
I grin at him and take a gulp of my gin.
He returns to his list. “Vulva worship.”
Vulva what-what? “That sounds … culty.”
Alistair’s lips curve. “If there was a cult dedicated to your vulva, I’d be in it.”
I throw a cushion at him.
“I’ll take that as a yes,” he says. “Next: wearing lingerie.”
I nod enthusiastically. “I love lingerie.”
“I prefer you naked.”
“But lingerie is so sexy, then you get naked.”
“Sold. I’m taking you shopping tomorrow.”
I laugh and shake my head. “No, you’re going to work tomorrow. I heard your PA say something was urgent.”
