King held up his hand to stop the barrage of questions and simply said one word, “Granny.”

“Another Betty?” Cameron huffed, sitting next to me, crossing his arms as he shook his head.

Poor kid couldn’t catch a break.

Chapter Thirty

Claudia

Three weeks later...

Sitting in my office, I knew today was going to be a crazy day when my husband walked into my office with our son, snug in the cuddle-jumper attached to his chest, asleep. Smiling, I looked up at them and wondered what I ever did to get so lucky.

“Everyone’s here, Lidi.”

Smirking, I replied, “I can hear them. Sounds like the entire town is out there.”

“Mostly.”

“And what have you and Charlie been doing today?”

“Oh, little man and I have been running errands with Cameron. Stopped at the distillery to check on the production of Hell’s Inferno when I got an idea for a new formula. Then we took a good two-hour nap before having our lunch.”

“Busy day,” I chuckled, getting to my feet, grabbing my white lab coat before putting it on. Taking a deep breath, I sighed. “Alright, big guy, let’s get this craziness over with.”

Following me out of my office, we walked down the hall and into the waiting room, where I found the entire clubhouse milling around, along with several residents of Rosewood.

Rolling my eyes, I groaned, “Alright, everyone. Unless you are a member of the Sons of Hell MC, I need you to leave. I know you are all eager to hear the news, but only family is allowed in my clinic today. I’m sure as soon as Scribe learns the truth, he will post it to YouTube.”

“Hey!” the handsome hippie scoffed. “I don’t post everything.”

“Yes, you do!” the entire room yelled.

Several people grumbled, moaned, and complained as they filed out of my clinic, leaving only the Sons of Hell.

Shaking my head, I looked at my first patient. “You ready for this, Bails?”

“Fuck no,” she griped, sulking in her chair, refusing to move.

King rolled his eyes as he picked up his pregnant wife. “Cupcake, I told you that Lidi was only looking today. No needles.”

“I want it in writing.”

When Bailey told King she thought she was pregnant, she inadvertently let it slip in front of Scribe, that she was afraid of needles and that’s why she didn’t have any tattoos on her body. And of course, Scribe being the motormouth he was, couldn’t keep his damn trap shut until everyone knew her secret. Now it was all hands on deck when Bailey had to come in for a prenatal visit.

A tug on my lab coat had me looking down to find Cameron standing next to me. “Dr. Lidi?”

“Yes, Cameron.”

“I’m still allowed in the room, right?”

Chuckling, I nodded. “Yep. You are my helper and it’s your job to verify everything for me.”

“Cool!” The young boy smiled happily.

“Pyro, Skylar, if you two would follow Jess, she will get you set up in the other room.”

The happy couple got to their feet and followed Jessica down the hall as I looked at Bailey. “King is right, Bails. I’m just taking measurements and looking today. I promise.”
