“Bex, it’s like 7 a.m.” I giggle.

“Yes, and you’re going to sit here like a good girl while I go through my presentation,” she mocks.

“Can’t we do this after we’ve eaten and moved our bunny in?” Alvie pleads.

I give her my best pouty eyes. “Please? I just wanna cuddle with my partners.”

“Ooh. Partners, I like that,” Bex says, tossing the iPad aside and crawling up my body until she’s hovering over me. “Would you ever consider being my wife?”

She nips at the curve of my neck and a shiver rolls through me.

“Little soon for that, isn’t it, Bex?” Alvie asks reasonably.

“What? Maybe a year or two from now. Nay wants to wear her own white dress!” Bex scoffs.

“And we’ll wrap that up when the time comes,” he replies calmly as ever.

“We’ll have everything all tied up in a nice little bow,” I joke.

“I know someone I definitely would like to have tied up right now,” Bex purrs, diving in for a passionate kiss.

“Down, birdie. I think our bunny needs food first. We can play more tonight. You can tie up loose ends then,” he offers playfully, giving Bex a kiss on the cheek.

Both of us break out into full-body, cackling laughter and don’t stop until tears are streaming down our faces.

“I love you. Both of you,” I say quietly.

They exchange silent looks.

“We love you too, bunny.”
