“It’s not just shower gel,” Toshi tells me. “He has cologne in his bathroom cabinet, same brand, same scent.”

“That’s how it lasts so long.” I shake my head. “Anything sexual that happens while we’re eating is on your head, Toshi. You’re making my slick come in smelling like one of my Alphas.”

He looks at me with wide eyes. “You’re kidding.”

I shake my head. “You know E.A. doesn’t knot me half as much as Spencer does. I miss his scent, and you smell just like him right now. It’s kind of hard to resist.”

Toshi rests his head against mine and puts his hands on my shoulders.

“You realize E.A. is in the kitchen right now, and he’s in relaxed mode.”

I blink at him. “Oh, my Gods! You’re right.”

“Go get him,” he says, kissing my cheek before he sits down.

I put my headphones down and move over to the kitchen doorway.

I move to let Spencer past and then I lean against the door frame.

“I heard you claimed Leanne and Toshi while you were gone.”

He smiles back at me. “You heard right.”

“It’s been a while, E.A.”

So long, that I actually can’t remember when I last shared his bed.

Spencer’s good at picking up the slack, but I’m probably a little needier because I feel like I’m missing something I’m not getting. And it’s not just a sex thing. It’s his company I miss as much as his knot.

He closes the fridge and comes over to me.

“I know, and I’m sorry, Echo,” he leans in and strokes a hand through my hair. “I’ve missed you.”

“I’ve missed you,” I whisper, tearing up as I feel his emotional response backing up his words.

He’s been so close, and so far away all at once, for too damn long.

“I can’t keep going like this,” I tell him, feeling a tear drip from my lashes as I blink.

“You don’t have to,” he promises. “I’ll be here when you need me.”

“I need you.”

“You’ve got me.”

Chapter Ninety-One

Leanne

I step out of the shower, dry off and get dressed as quickly as possible. I can hear voices in the other room, and I can smell food, which is making my stomach rumble like crazy. I open the door and step into the living room, finding Spencer and Toshi on the couch, eating from an insane number of open takeout containers that are spread out on the coffee table.

“Wow,” I murmur as I approach. “All of this looks amazing.”

“Dig in,” Spencer tells me, passing me a plate with a fork and a napkin on it.

Toshi moves a little to let me sink in beside him.

I perch on the edge of the sofa, looking over the spread and trying to decide what to put on my plate. It’s not easy. It all looks so damn good.
