We head straight there. There is loud music playing, so I know someone is home.

We knock hard on the door. When it opens, there is a guy staring at us with wide eyes. He looks at us with recognition.

I’m not surprised that he knows who we are, given what Aubrey has told me about him.

I take a good look at him. He’s not very tall. I would have to guess that he’s around five-foot-nine.

He’s got blonde hair that looks unkept. I guess some women would find him good looking, but I can’t help the smug smile that comes across my face. I know Aubrey stepped up when she ended up with me.

“Kalen,” I state.

“Gabriel Lewis, what are you doing here?” he asks, sounding out of sorts.

We walk into the place without an invitation. Nolan and Theo have hardened looks on their faces.

“We want to know where you were last night,” I say, getting right to the point.

“I was here,” he says while looking around. He seems nervous.

“Is that a fact?” I ask, not believing him.

He nods his head. One of the doors opens, and my mouth drops open in shock to see Stella standing there. She’s looking back at us with a similar look.

“Wh-what’s going on?” she asks looking around; maybe for an exit.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” Theo snarls out.

“Visiting a fr-friend,” she says, stumbling over her words.

I raise an eyebrow and look at Theo who looks like he doesn’t believe her either.

“How did you two meet?” Nolan asks while taking a seat on the couch and getting comfortable.

Kalen tries to make a break for the door, but I grab him and slam his face into the wall.

“Where the fuck do you think you are going?” I growl out.

“We didn’t do anything,” he says with his voice taking a high-pitched tone at the end.

“What gives you the impression we were blaming you for something?” Theo asks, walking closer and sounding a bit cold.

This is the side of Theo that no one really sees unless you piss him off.

“Sit,” he says to Stella.

She looks around everywhere, panicked.

“I said SIT!” Theo shouts. She jumps at the sound but quickly sits down.

I take Kalen and push him to the seat next to her.

“Now, let’s try this again,” I say, standing in front of them crossing my arms over my chest.

“What the fuck are you guys doing together, and where were you last night?” I ask.

“We were here,” Kalen says, starting to sweat.

“It doesn’t take long to travel to our hometown,” Nolan says.
