“I didn’t expect to see live porn! It’s gross.”
Len laughs harder. “You do not think it’s gross. You wouldn’t be blushing. You liked it didn’t you? Did you watch?”
I don’t answer her. Instead I take a lot of interest in my half eaten muffin.
“Don’t ignore me! You did, didn’t you? Are you a closet freak, girl? You can tell me.”
“Len!” My mouth hangs open and my face burns more. I bet my ears are fire engine red now.
“It’s okay, Ev. Nothing to be ashamed of. Besides, Landon is pretty attractive. I think a lot of girls would feel a little something something.”
“The thing is…” My voice is a whisper now.
“What?”
“He saw me.” I mumble.
“Speak up.”
“He saw me watching. And I kinda liked it.”
Len claps and hoots. “I fucking knew it! You secret dirty girl. But I need to know details- he saw you?!”
Now I’m laughing hysterically. “Yes! But you know he’s a cocky shit. He loved it.”
“I bet he did. I can only imagine he got into more, didn’t he?”
“Ugh, why is he so predictable?”
“Aren’t most men?”
“He even texted me last night.”
“Has he before?”
“Never. I forgot I saved him in my phone under L. He asked me if I got home safe. Weird.”
“That is weird. Does he ever text a girl that question?”
“I doubt it with his ever revolving circle of chicks. Anyway, he’s coming by this morning to give me money for shopping.”
“This is getting better and better. And I’m here to watch it all.”
As much as I wanted to stay in bed all day, I know I can’t. After texting with Landon, I realized this is my only free day before then. Hence why he’s coming by with money any time now. “Are you free to shop today? The party is this coming Saturday and with clinicals all week, I won’t have time to go.”
“Yep. I planned on crashing in your bed today anyway.”
“If we leave soon, we can get back with plenty of time to be lazy in our pjs.”
“Maybe Maia can join us. Where has she been lately?”
“With Alex. I don’t know, Len. There’s something about him that rubs me the wrong way.”
“I only met him once and he was quiet.”
“Yeah, he doesn’t say much but I’ve noticed Maia argues with him a lot. The reason she wanted us to go to the party last night in the first place was to make him jealous. Then he showed up and she went somewhere with him in the house instead of waiting for me in the garage. It’s not a big deal, Landon told me he saw her arguing with him.”
“Arguing? Ugh. What is up with this guy? And she still should’ve told you. I’ll text her and see what’s up.”
