“Can Holden and I go? Please! Get us tickets, please! We can all dress in matching bathing suits.” Lennox claps and jumps up and down on the bed. “It’ll be so much fun.”
I join in her excitement because it’s fun and contagious. “I’ll ask him for sure. I don’t see why not.”
Lennox screeches like a little schoolgirl and claps more. “I am so stoked! But let’s see how long this all stays fake between the two of you.”
“Forever. Don’t get any ideas miss love struck diehard romantic over there.”
Len grins. “It’s already happening.”
I roll my eyes for the hundredth time tonight and kick her out of my room.
Chapter 10
Landon
“Who ever thought we’d be on a double date together?” Holden asks me as we walk downstairs to get the girls.
“Stranger things have happened my friend. Ev and I are just pretending though.”
“Sure, whatever you say.” Holden grins.
“Len is filling your ears with nonsense. Plus, you both run around here like you’ve got Cupid’s arrow stuck up your asses.”
Holden laughs and snorts at the same time. “Hey, wait until you fall in love and then come talk to me.”
“I don’t do that shit.” I say just as we arrive at their door. It opens right on cue, like they knew we were here.
“Don’t do what?” Len asks as both girls step out into the hallway.
But I barely hear, my focus lost on Ev. She looks even more stunning than when she was in her formal dress. A bikini top covers her ample chest full of cleavage, with a jean skirt on bottom, and a sweater over her bare arms. She has her hair up in a high ponytail and curls framing her face, a little bit of makeup, and a Hawaiian flower in her hair. She looks perfect for tonight’s theme.
And just like the girls planned, our bathing suits match. The Hawaiian flower print is the same on her bikini as it is on my swim trunks.
I offer her a lei for around her neck with a huge shit eating grin on my face. She nods and her cheeks turn pink as I place the necklace around her neck, my eyes unable to look away from her breasts.
“Ohhh, Ev, you just got laid by Landon.” Lennox teases and Holden whistles.
“Thanks. It was a good time. Could’ve lasted longer though.” Ev winks and we all burst out laughing.
We start walking down the hall towards the stairs.
“Sick burn, girl,” Holden offers Ev a fist pound and she returns it.
“Very funny. Too bad you’ll never know just how long I can go.” I snicker.
“I think I’ll survive.” Ev hurries ahead next to Lennox and us two guys are left trailing behind. Fine by me, it’s a better view this way.
We all climb into my car, and I look directly in the rearview at Holden and Lennox already canoodling in the backseat. “Behave yourselves back there, you two.”
“Yes, Dad.” Len says.
“Ew, don’t ever call me that again.” I start the car and connect my phone to the Bluetooth this time. Opening Spotify on my phone, I navigate to my party playlist and press shuffle. Techno pop blasts through the speakers.
“Woooo!” Len shouts from the backseat. Everleigh and I look at each other and laugh. The rest of the car ride is spent dancing and singing.
When we arrive at the club, it’s already a full-blown party scene. There’re half naked people everywhere and the club is decked out in Hawaiian beach party decor.
Lennox and Holden grab drinks with us, a few frozen margaritas in large tiki cups, before they disappear onto the dance floor.
