“Early, like eight. I’m having brunch with my mom and sister while we get ready.”

“Oh, nice! I’ll miss you. I’m putting my claim to you now for next weekend.”

I laugh. “You got it. Where’s Maia been lately? I haven’t seen her once since classes started up.”

“Your guess is as good as mine. I think she’s officially chosen Alex over us.”

“We need to call a house meeting and see what’s up with her.”

“I agree. I’ll try to reach out to her over the weekend but most of the time she doesn’t respond.”

“Same with me. I hope she’s okay.”

“Me too.” Len agrees. “When you’re done packing, do you wanna grab a bite to eat and watch some TV? Pjs required.”

“You know you’re talking my language girlfriend.”

Len walks over to where I sit on my bed and plops down beside me. “You’re the best, you know that?”

I pull her in for a hug. “No, that’s you.”

“I want all the details from this weekend. So make sure something juicy happens.”

“Ain’t nothing juicy going down with my parents around.”

“You never know.” Len winks. “Let’s not forget who your date is.”

Landon and Felix are waiting for Bella and I outside the church when we arrive. Both of them look handsome in their suits and I watch Bella’s reaction to seeing Felix for the first time.

She smiles at me with approval. Mmhmm, I knew she would like it.

I wink in response and when I turn my attention to Landon, he’s looking at me like I’m his next meal.

Until he realizes I’m looking right at him. He quickly masks his expression but it’s too late. I already saw it.

Don’t play into it. He’s a big flirt.

“Well hello there, beautiful ladies. You both look amazing.” Landon says. He holds his hand out to me and when I take it, he spins me.

I giggle like a damn school girl, my cheeks turning pink. “Landon, Felix, this is my sister Bella. Bella, this is Felix and Landon.”

Once introductions are over, the boys offer us their arms and we walk into church. It’s a beautiful ceremony and afterwards, we have about an hour to kill before the reception begins at a banquet hall about ten minutes from the church.

“Did you take your car here?” Landon asks me as we walk outside. Felix and Bella are chatting up a storm behind us, like they’ve known each other for years.

“No, Bella and I rode with our parents.”

“Bella and you are welcome to ride over with Felix and I.”

“Yes please. If I have to listen to another minute of talk radio, I’ll scream.”

“Can we agree on no country, Pookie bear?”

“Easy enough. I never really liked it anyway.”

“I knew it! You little trickster.”

“It’s fun to tease the teaser.”
