He took her hand and was happy she didn’t pull away. He led her into the barn and down the aisle, passing stalls.

“Caramel is the only horse here right now. She’s pregnant with twins and due anytime, so I want to keep her inside.”

“Show me.” Addison smiled at him.

“All right.”

He led her to the stall and nodded for her to look. She did and gasped.

“She’s so beautiful.” Addison glanced over her shoulder at him. “I can see why her name is Caramel.”

Cody nodded. “It seemed to fit with her coloring.”

He watched as Addison stuck her hand through the bars on the gate and crooned to the horse. Caramel raised her head and walked to the gate. She put her nose against the bars and whinnied. Cody rubbed her nose, and Addison did the same.

“She is definitely pregnant,” Addison said, laughing.

“If you watch her belly, you can see the foals moving.”

“I see them!” She laughed and looked at him; he wanted to kiss her lush lips.

The smile left her face when their eyes met. He stepped closer to her and placed his hand on her cheek.

“If I don’t kiss you soon, I’m going to go insane,” he murmured.

“We can’t have that, can we?” she whispered.

He grinned and lowered his lips to hers, and the instant their lips touched, a shock went through him. He slipped his arms around her waist and pulled her against him when she moaned. Her arms wrapped around his neck as she leaned into him. She moved her fingers into his hair, knocking his hat to the floor, but he didn’t care. He was sure he’d never get enough of her lips.

Addison never felt so… kissed in her life. His lips moved over hers, and then his tongue slid into her mouth. He moaned when she sucked on it.

When he lifted his lips, she was so disappointed. She immediately wanted them back on hers. She opened her eyes and stared into his.

“Wow,” she murmured.

“That’s what I was thinking,” he said, grinning.

Addison laughed. “Good. We’re on the same page.”

Cody chuckled. “Would you like to learn how to ride?”

“Are we talking horses?”

He groaned. “I was, but if you’d like to try another type of riding, I’m game.”

“Of course, you are. You’re a man.”

“Guilty.” Cody looked toward the barn doors. “I hear a vehicle. I hope it’s our pizza. I’m starving.”

“Me too.” She smiled when he took her hand and led her out into the sunshine.

They walked to the car with the name of the pizza shop on the door and Addison watched as Cody gave the man a tip, took the pizza, and inclined his head for her to go inside, then he followed her.

“This smells fantastic,” he said.

“They aren’t a big chain, but they have the best pizzas.”
