I look back over at my woman and hope that this little girls’ night will wrap up soon. She’s been in my space for a week now and I’ve learnt that after a lot of time spent either concentrating on her tasks, or with people, she gets really tired.

“You know, you making moony eyes over here is making you look pussy whipped.” I scowl at Jules whilst Tav and my MC brothers snicker.

“Fuck you. Just because you don’t have a good woman waiting for you. Go rain on some other poor bastard’s parade.” Jules smirks before he slaps me on the shoulder.

“Don’t need a good woman. Fox and Nitro invited me to a sweet little party with some club girls. That, to me, sounds like a hell of a good time.”

I see Tav look over at Fox and Nitro and the three club girls they’re standing with while we watch Jules make his way over. I raise my brows at him.

“Too young for me.” He shrugs before heading over to the pool table. I swing my head to look at Rider and Wire. The youngest club girl we have is probably not much younger than him.

“I’d love to be that family’s therapist,” Wire states while tipping his beer back.

Stomping comes from the direction of Marx’s office before our three fearless leaders emerge from the hall.

“Chewy, Katya, Wire, I need you all to look into these names.” Marx hands them a piece of paper, each with a list of names. They all sit at the long table, laptops open. I have to admit, it looks impressive. Gus is over at the bar whispering to Ana and I see her scowl at him in full force.

“$50 says that tension is sexual,” Rider pipes up.

“$100 says he’s the next guy that’s pussy whipped,” I smirk back.

“Ok. Most of the names on my list have all gone missing from their homes over the past few weeks. They’re from Rose Grove and the next two towns over,” Chewy announces to the room.

“Mine is the same,” Katya says in her quiet voice. Marx looks over at Wire, who nods in agreement with the others. Roman remains quiet, but I can see he’s watching everything play out intently.

“Where did you get these lists and what do they have to do with Kraykowski?” Katya asks

“The names we gave you are women who feature in this book, including pictures, all their physical stats, and reserves,” Gus informs us.

“How come we haven’t found any of this through all the research we’ve done? There’s no mention of any of these people on the darknet,” Katya asks the room. Roman nods his head.

“My contact Petrov is old school, only deals in information not on the internet. Word of mouth, hard copy, old school spy. Could be why it’s been so hard to pin Kraykowski down; he’s keeping the big business offline.”

“Wait, back up a minute. The delivery was a book. Are you saying Kraykowski has, like, a catalog of women for sale?” Ana scowls from the bar.

“But not all the women on the list have gone missing. According to this, some women are still safe and sound. Like this one, she clocked into work as per usual,” Chewy states.

“How in the hell do you know that?” Roman asks. Chewy just smiles up at him and shrugs her shoulders.

“Tuesday, I’d really like you to rethink the offer of working for me.” Everyone glares at him. Chewy is ours. She just shakes her head back at him and he lets out a long sigh.

Marx’s obnoxiously loud ringtone goes off and he, as per usual, yells into it,

“Yeah?” Whoever it is causes Marx to stiffen up for a moment

“Wasn’t us. We have no beef with you. What’s her name? Yeah, let me look into it and I’ll get back to you.” Marx scrubs his face with both of his hands while we wait for whatever he needs to tell us.

“That was Savage, Death Riders’ Pres. His woman has just been taken. You guys, any of you have Naomi Knight on your list?” Katya puts her hand up like she’s at school. The room is quiet and I can see Chewy doing her thinking fingers. I head over, stand behind her with my big rough hands on her shoulders, and press down a little. I’ve found that she likes the feeling of pressure, it seems to not only help her think but also seems to stop any meltdowns.

“She was on the list but hadn’t been taken until just now. That means the women on the list that haven’t gone missing are about to.” She looks up at me with worry in her eyes.

“It’s a fucking shopping list. Are there more women on the list that we haven’t checked on yet?” I ask my brother. I see him share a look with Gus and Roman. My brother looks at me and nods his head. I don’t know why they’re acting shady all of a sudden until Roman speaks up.

“Katya and Lexi are on the list.” I watch as Katya drops her chin to her chest. There’s an audible inhale and I can feel the tension in the room rising. “As is Ana. And Tuesday”

“What!?” Gus and Ana yell at the same time. I pick up a glass from the table and launch it at the wall.

“I want to see this book,” Katya says. Marx hands it over and she and Chewy look through it. Ana is so pissed she’s been stomping around the room ranting and I’m not entirely too sure she’s been speaking English the whole time, either.
