I released Raven and watched her rush into his embrace before Hudson emerged from the woods. I turned to face him, readying myself for whatever animal they had brought back for us to roast over the spit in the backyard. And as Hudson approached me, I smelled her on his skin.

“Hunting, huh?” I asked with a grin.

But he simply winked at me as he carried the dead deer over his shoulder.

“Do you feel that?” Raven asked.

The wind kicked up and swirled around us as we all stood on the porch.

“Something’s wrong with the pack,” Levi glowered.

Hudson nodded. “You two, go with Raven. The pack needs their alpha. I’ll make sure dinner’s done in time.”

Raven giggled. “You? Cooking? I thought you didn’t debase yourself with such domestic ideals.”

Hudson dipped his lips to the top of her head and kissed her softly. “Anything for you. Now go, our pack needs you.”

“Dean!”

“Pick him up. Come on.”

“Get him over here.”

“Right here, that’s good. The stump is still strong.”

“Dean, can you hear me?”

With the rain nothing but a sprinkle, I found myself staring at the canopy of the forest. The wet stump beneath my back shocked me back to life, but the memory of my vision left me breathless. All four of us? In that house? With Raven as alpha?

Was that possible?

“What did you see?” Brody asked.

I shook my head softly. “I—it’s—there was—”

“Spit it out,” Hudson said curtly.

What the hell has gotten into him?

As I eased myself up onto my elbows, I said the only thing I could. “I just saw you, me, and Levi living in that house with Raven with her as alpha.”

Levi wrinkled his nose. “Living with her? With that attitude?”

I eyed him carefully. “We weren’t just living with her.”

He balked. “What the fuck else were we doing?”

Hudson latched on, though. “That isn’t possible.”

I scoffed as I reached out my hand. “Brody, can you help me up?”

He slapped his hand into mine and pulled me to my feet. “You good? How’s your head feeling?”

I snickered. “It’s been better, I can tell you that.”

“What isn’t possible?” Levi asked.

I slowly turned to face them. “The three of us were living in that house with Raven and… and we were romantically involved with her. All three of us,” I said as I motioned to Levi, Hudson, and myself.
