I slowly stood to my feet as a growl bubbled up the back of my throat. “You slept with her?”

He threw his hands into the air. “It just… happened. But yeah. We slept together last night. And it was everything I thought it would be. I know what I saw in my vision, Hudson. I know what’s happening between all of us. And I know you feel it.”

You slept with my girl, you son of a bitch. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

He chuckled bitterly. “You can fight it all you want, but after last night, I cannot deny that she’s our fated mate. We are the mates of our alpha, which makes her more powerful than we thought. We owe it to her to stand by her side.”

“I owe her nothing,” I growled.

Dean stood to his feet. “So, you don’t believe she’s our fated mate? You’ve honestly felt nothing in her presence at all?”

“No,” I said, lying through my fucking teeth. “I don’t think she’s our fated mate. Maybe one of us. Maybe even two of us. But no female shifter in this pack has ever had three fated mates.”

“Hudson, we’ve never even had a female alpha. Do you really think the oddities will stop with just that?”

I didn’t want to speak on it a second longer. The jealousy I had no right to feel was eating me alive. “We should prepare Raven for the oncoming full moon.”

“Hudson.”

“It’s in two nights’ time. She has to be ready.”

“Hudson, you know I’m right.”

I shook my head vehemently. “Prepare her or this pack will drown. Where’s Brody?”

Dean shrugged. “Somewhere. Anywhere. Nowhere. I haven’t seen him much since the bear shifters came close to the pack.”

“Then, find him,” I growled, “and gather everyone at Raven’s place. We have to fill her in on what’s about to happen to her, if anything so her wolf doesn’t run away with her again. Because if she runs too far this time?”

He nodded. “She’ll end up in bear shifter territory.”

And she’d be killed, without a shadow of a doubt, if that happened.

RAVEN

“All right, you ready?” Brody asked.

I scoffed. “That depends. You found that witch yet?”

He sighed heavily. “Trust me when I tell you that I’m doing the best I can under the circumstances. I’m close, but I haven’t tracked her down yet.”

“How hard is it to find a witch?” I sighed.

“Hard,” Brody replied. “Especially when that witch doesn’t want to be found.”

“Great,” I murmured.

“So, until that happens,” Dean said as he stepped to the forefront, “what are the three things you need to remember?”

I drew in a deep breath. “One, the best way to control the pack is to follow my instincts. My wolf will know what is needed.”

Levi nodded. “What’s two?”

I clicked my tongue. “Don’t allow the pack’s group-thought to overwhelm me.”

“Three’s company. What’s that third one?” Hudson asked, his voice booming over our heads.
