“Well, I think you’re as handsome as a superhero,” she told Ian.

“Yeah?” Ian raised his eyebrows.

“I mean . . . perhaps not Aquaman handsome . . . but you know, definitely more handsome than the Joker.”

“You brat!” He tickled her and she let out peals of laughter.

“Mercy! Mercy or I’ll pee!”

“She can’t handle being tickled,” Jack warned. “She really will need to pee.”

“Let’s get you out and onto the toilet then. We should have put you on the toilet first. Women are supposed to pee after sex.”

“Daddy!” She put her hands over her ears. “La-la-la!”

It took her a moment to notice that Ian had frozen. She dropped her hands, and then she realized what she’d said.

“Oh, sorry. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.”

“You didn’t make him uncomfortable,” Jack sang. “He’s one very happy old chappy.” He wriggled his eyebrows suggestively.

“Don’t you have somewhere else to be, Jack?” Ian asked. “Like doing a perimeter check?”

“Why . . . anyone would think you were trying to get rid of me. Why? So you can fuck our girl? Or so you can dress her up in something frilly and pink and do her hair?”

Frilly and pink?

She didn’t really do frilly and pink . . . when she was in Big headspace. But her Little . . . well, she didn’t like the idea of frilly but she could possibly do pink.

“You like that idea?” Ian asked with a slight frown. “I’ve never seen you wear anything close to pink or frills.”

She shrugged. “Maybe my Little likes the idea of some changes. But not while I’m in Big headspace.” She pointed at him fiercely.

“Don’t point your finger, Little girl.” He tapped it lightly, looking thoughtful. “I don’t have any clothes here with me for a Little girl.”

“I don’t need anything.”

“Yeah, you do,” Jack said, looking seriously. “And if there’s anything else you need, then you have to speak up.”

Ian nodded. “Right. Let’s finish cleaning you up, get you on the toilet to pee, and dressed before your uncle gets home.”

“Eek!” How had she forgotten that Uncle Willy was getting home soon?

She tried to push herself out of the bath, but Ian placed his hand on her shoulder.

“What are you doing? Uncle Willy will be here soon. You both need to leave my room.”

“Scared you’re going to get into trouble for having boys in your room?” Jack asked. “I haven’t played this game in a long time. Shall I go out the window? It’s not much of a drop.”

“No! I just . . . I don’t want Uncle Willy to think . . . we barely know each other.”

“It’s all right, Little Misfit,” Ian told her. “He’s teasing you. He won’t be home for another twenty minutes. Don’t stress. Does he know about your Little?”

“What? No, of course not!”

“You don’t think he’d be understanding?” Jack asked, looking serious.

“I don’t . . . I don’t want to find out. My family definitely wouldn’t understand. Uncle Willy is the only one I feel close to. He saved me when I needed help and I can’t lose him.”
