“That makes sense, I think what I assumed was this would be a wham bam thank you ma’am and that was it.”

“I think you need to do more research so you can see what this relationship is. Do you need reading material?” He leaned forward pecking my lips.

“No, Vincent gave me a list. I think I need to go back and read something other than the sex stuff,” I said, kissing him again, trying to distract myself from falling for them.

It would be so easy to let myself develop feelings for them, when they paid attention to small details that made me feel cherished. This was a contract and I needed to remind myself of that.

“Well, I have a few articles or things you can look over, maybe they can help you,” he said, giving me a quick peck. “If you need, I know of a few subs who could give you some advice.”

“I think I might stick to reading and if I need to, I’ll let you know if I need someone to talk to,” I said, leaning back, grabbing my coffee.

He studied me for a moment before nodding. “You want to get some brunch?”

“Brunch sounds amazing,” I said, glad that he didn’t dig deeper into whatever I was feeling.

Going back to life after my weekend with Easton was hard. I wasn’t the girl who was guarded or unsure of herself. I was a woman who was with a man who knew how to make my body sing, who made me feel wanted, sexy and be a normal twenty-eight-year-old.

I gathered my things to get ready to leave Lincoln's. I now split my time between his office and his home. It was a great job so far, they seemed to leave me alone since I had been able to complete all the tasks they had given me.

“Ms. Guzman.”

I turned around to see Lola, standing by the island.

“Yes?” I asked, a little nervous.

“Hi, I was wondering if you could help me out,” she asked me, with a gorgeous smile. “But I don’t want to keep you if you have somewhere to go.”

“Sure,” I said, setting down my bag. “What can I help you with?”

“Really?” She looked surprised that I said yes.

“Yeah, of course,” I said, with a smile.

“You don’t have to stay just because Lincoln is your boss. If you have somewhere to be, it's fine,” she smiled shyly at me.

“I’m serious, it's fine,” I chuckled, really liking her.

“Really?” Her face lit up. “Thank you so much! My best friend Dany moved to a small town and it's just not the same without her. I don’t work at a salon anymore, so my friends have literally dwindled down to zero.”

“I’m sorry, that sounds really rough,” I said, knowing exactly how she felt. “I swear as you get older it's so hard to make friends. I need speed dating to meet new people.”

“Yes! I completely agree,” she said as she smiled, her blue eyes more vibrant than before. “I just need another opinion and that’s not a man’s.”

“I completely get that, men are clueless sometimes.” I chuckled.

“They really are, what would they do without us?” She giggled. “Alright follow me!”

She turned around walking down the hallway and I followed her. I had never been down this part of the penthouse; it was kind of exciting. Lola turned into a room on the left, when I entered, it was not what I had expected. The room was bare with different colored paint on the wall.

“I can’t decide what I want, and the guys are no help.” She looked back at me. “They just tell me to do whatever I want, well Lincoln does, and Gabriel is helpful but not. I know that’s weird, but I think he just placates me.”

“Who is Gabriel?” I wondered if I had missed something.

“Oh,” she looked back at me sheepishly. “Um… he’s also… my husband.”

I tried to keep the surprise out of my face, but I couldn’t help the grin that surfaced on my face.

“Lincoln and Gabriel are your husbands?” I knew that's what she said but a part of me just wanted to make sure that it wasn’t just me making this stuff up because of my particular situation.
