I cross the room to her, pull her into my body, cupping her ass in both hands, and kiss her.

I know it totally shocks her because we don't kiss. At least we didn't use to.

But as she melts into me, and lets me sweep her mouth with my tongue, I think that there might be a lot of things changing this morning in this kitchen.

I let her go and say, "Remember, I like a lot of chocolate chips in my pancakes."

She grins up at me. "Okay, but for the record, I was already planning on making pancakes.”

I tuck a strand of hair behind her ear, and just say, "Good girl."

She snorts and says, “I’ll try really hard not to sneeze in yours.”

I grin. “No, I won’t spank you this early in the morning. I haven’t had enough coffee yet. So stop being naughty.”

I don’t miss the tiny flare of heat in her eyes, but there’s a part of me that thinks it comes from our banter even more than the mention of spanking. I really like this girl.

I pinch her ass, then I turn her and nudge her toward Owen, who opens his arms and pulls her into a hug.

Looking at them together, I find myself hoping that this guy can pull his shit together.

Because he makes her happy, and, dammit, I’m going to have to be pissed at him if he doesn’t stick around.

Because, as surprised as I am that it happened, Luna’s happiness really fucking matters to me.

CHAPTER 25

Owen

Her cake is not that good. Her cake is not that good. Her cake is not that good.

I'm lying to myself, of course. Luna McNeill's cake is absolutely that good. Both the literal cake she makes and her…metaphorical cake.

Her cake is not worth it.

Maybe I should try that mantra.

But that's also a lie.

I think that Luna McNeill is worth every single bit of awkwardness I’m feeling during the first time in the locker room with Alexsei Ryan after we fucked Luna together two nights ago.

I’m pretty sure.

Cam called her a unicorn.

Absolutely accurate. And she's not just their unicorn. She's mine, too.

He said that maybe I haven't been with as many women as I need to in order to understand that she’s special.

I maybe haven't been with as many as he and Alexsei have, and maybe I haven't been looking for something specific the way they have, but it would take a blind, very stupid man not to understand that Luna is special.

I knew it that first moment I spoke to her in her mother’s kitchen.

And I shouldn't be surprised that the other two don't want to let her go.

That night with the four of us was explosive. But it was more than incredibly hot and sexy. There was something else there. And even though it was my first group experience, even in the midst of it, I sensed that there was something more.

It wasn't just about the sex.
