He crossed his arms over his chest which only made her have another fit of laughter.
“Is she gonna be okay?”
Kody turned his head to see Ace standing next to him.
“I mean, I get it. It’s fucking hilarious, but she needs to breathe, no?”
Kody narrowed his eyes at Ace. “Of course, you find it funny. You’re not the one wearing a shirt that has ‘I’m stupid’ on it.”
Ace snorted and when Kody turned to walk away, Ace pulled him back, arms wrapping around his waist.
Kody scowled up at him.
“But you’re my stupid,” Ace said, batting his lashes at him as if that helped.
“If you think that makes it any better, you’re wrong. So wrong.”
Ac’s lips spread in a smile. That fucking smile he couldn’t resist.
Asshole.
“Admit it. You like it,” Ace said, lowering his head to brush his nose against Kody’s, pulling away before their lips could meet.
Kody whined before he could stop himself.
“I like you. There’s a difference,” he muttered, now back to scowling again.
Ace was wearing a shirt that said ‘I do stupid things’ which was very true. It just so happened that Kody was the stupid thing he was doing. At least according to his shirt.
Cora was still laughing her ass off about it.
“You’re the worst best friend ever,” he said to her.
This was all her fault, after all. She was the one who’d come up with it in the first place. It was also very much her fault that he’d lost the stupid bet and now had to wear the stupid shirt.
He pouted at Ace and instantly knew he’d fucked up.
“No,” he snapped at Ace.
“But…” Ace pulled him closer against his body. “Why?”
“Because we haven’t even made it inside yet.”
They were still in the courtyard thanks to Cora and her laughing fit.
“But—”
“No.”
Ace gave him a wicked grin and slid his hands down to squeeze Kody’s ass. Kody bit back a moan.
“You’re not playing fair,” he said through clenched teeth.
“I know,” Ace said.
“No sex before we’ve said hello. That was the deal.”
Ace arched a brow at him. “You really wanna say hi to everyone while wearing that?”
