“Holy crap,” he said on a relieved breath. “Thanks, man. Luna’s gonna be stoked to hear that.”

“I’m just glad we could help.”

He shook Saint’s hand again, then went to tell Kody and Cora. He looked around for them and found that they’d taken a seat on one of the couches along with Matt, Sawyer, Digger, and Texas.

He walked up just in time to hear Texas say, “Awe, babe. Does that make you the yin to my yang?”

Matt’s full-body shudder had him laughing knowing it’d be one of Matt’s isms because there wasn’t a mean bone in that man’s body.

“What do you have against yin and yang?” Sawyer asked Matt.

Matt leveled him with a deadpan look and said, “Everything.”

Ace pressed his lips together and sat down on the couch, squeezing between Cora and Kody, grinning when Kody put a hand on his thigh.

“They’re supposed to be perfect opposites,” Matt said, a grimace spreading on his face. “But one has a G, and the other doesn’t. How the fuck does that make them perfect opposites? It doesn’t. Whoever came up with it was like ‘Let’s make them exact mirror images. Except in name.’ Like what the fuck?”

Matt threw his hands up with a frustrated groan.

Kody leaned in to ask in a low voice, “Is he alright?”

Ace nodded. “He’s fine.”

Digger was already distracting Matt who was smiling up at him, yin and yang completely forgotten.

Ace took Kody’s hand in his and when Kody gave him a questioning look, he said, “They found Evelyn. She’s alive.”

Kody’s eyes got watery. “Really?”

Ace nodded, squeezing Kody’s hand.

“Luna’s gonna be so happy.”

He wrapped an arm around Kody and rested his head on top of Kody’s.

This was the life, alright.

He had everything he could ever need. People he loved. People who loved him. A bike that was in one piece and he’d even gotten himself a boyfriend who rode and loved bikes, too.

He wasn’t so sure he’d ever really cared about the gender of his partners. He’d just gone with who he’d been attracted to, and those people just happened to have been women. Until Kody.

He knew he’d gotten lucky to end up with a partner like Kody. Someone who knew who he truly was. Someone who accepted him as he was. Someone who looked at him with unbridled love. What more could a man ask for?

Kody

He couldn’t be more relieved or happier for Luna. Or Evelyn for that matter. He hoped she hadn’t been through too much but at least now she was free, and she would get the help she needed.

Titanium started playing and he only noticed because Ace jerked upright and cursed under his breath.

“Ace,” someone yelled.

“It wasn’t me,” Ace squeaked and climbed over the back of the couch.

He took off in a run, Steel right on his heels. Kody watched them with a mix of amusement and confusion. Ace was too fast for Steel and when he started singing along to the song, he only pissed him off that much more.

Kody looked around the room, gaze catching on Diesel and Chris who were standing by the bar. Diesel’s smile was just a bit too smug for him not to have been involved and when Chris elbowed him, Diesel just looked at him and shrugged.

Ace dived onto the couch and tried to crawl behind Kody.
