“You should get into the habit of closing this,” he told him, pulling his mask down as his eyes scanned the room. He raised an eyebrow at the other half of the room, the decorations far more… subdued than Thomas’s. He jerked his head towards the other side. “Where’s the roomie?”

“His brother just took him out to dinner,” Thomas said, shrugging as he turned towards the door. “You probably passed one of them. The brother is the one glaring down anything with a rainbow. I’m ninety percent sure that his brother and two of the guys helping move Alexander in are made men. About… seventy percent sure on the older guy that was with them.”

“Hm, listen to that,” Seong said, entering the room and his smile growing when his eyes fell on Thomas’s collection of rubber ducks and fidget toys on a shelf Kevin had made Thomas’s desk. “You have good instincts.”

“I do indeed,” Thomas agreed, tilting his head at Seong. “And they are telling me you aren’t staying very long.”

The smile became rueful as Seong looked back at him. “There’s a meeting tonight. It shouldn’t be anything to worry about but I’m always on standby. Just in case.”

“You should tell them to keep normal office hours,” Thomas teased, looping a finger in the strap on Seong’s jeans and pulling him closer.

“These are normal office hours, Thomas,” Seong pointed out, stepping into Thomas’s space and cupping his face. “The beard is coming in nicely,” he commented, his thumb brushing against Thomas’s cheek. “You’ll be a proper viking in no time.” He grinned. “You’ll have to beat men and women off of you with a stick.”

Thomas’s heart raced, moving his hands higher to Seong’s waist and pulling him closer still. “Well,” he said, swallowing, “I’m hoping that if anyone tries I’ll be able to tell them I’m taken.”

Seong’s brow furrowed, his eyes darting to the pictures on the cork board. “Oh yeah? Who’s the lucky guy?”

Thomas almost laughed at the tension in Seong’s voice. It was something he had never noticed before but now recognized from all the times Seong had to mention Danny or Thomas dating in general. “Well,” he said again, unable to keep himself from messing with a made man just a little, “he’s really smart. Very cute. Always there when I need him.” He immediately felt bad as Seong’s hands started to move away. He leaned forward, touching their noses together. “And he’s right in front of me.”

Seong blinked and to Thomas’s surprise and delight, blushed. “Oh. Me?”

“You,” Thomas confirmed, laughing softly then swallowed. “Seong,” he said, unable to muster more than a low tone, “I know— I’m— That is— Fuck.” He looked away, feeling his face growing hot. “I had a whole thing ready.”

Now Seong laughed, cradling Thomas’s face in his hands as he turned it back to face him. “We have all the time in the world for you to tell me all about it,” he said softly, his face so close.

Thomas leaned into him, closing the gap, feeling peace wash over him as their lips pressed against each other.

He knew with Seong’s unwavering patience and confidence that Thomas could do anything he set his mind to. That every time Thomas needed someone, Seong would find a way to be there, even if it was just for a moment.

All the time in the world.
