“By what? Once again, Ben thinks he knows everything and proceeds to tell others he does.” I flinched slightly as I heard his voice behind me.

“Well, I know almost everything about you, sir. You should know that information by now.” He walked over to my suit jacket and picked it up, resting it neatly on his arm.

“This sudden disturbance in your regular behavior wouldn’t have to do with a certain someone, would it?” Blaine asked, raising an eyebrow as Benjamin tilted his head to the side as if he wanted to know as well.

“Why would you think that?”

“The other day, I assume you spoke to a young lady on the phone? The name Brielle should ring a bell.” Benjamin spoke, adding fuel to the fire, and he continued.

“I was also informed that you’ve had a few encounters with her at a local library, and applications for the personal assistant job offer you put out a few days ago were delivered to her doorstep. She also has a little one she cares for, am I correct?” Folding my hands together, I eyed him carefully.

“Where did you get this information?”

He responded curtly. “I have my sources.”

“And I’m pretty sure your ‘source’ is none other than George?”

“He is one of my best companions.”

“Without you even knowing Kiki, I’m pretty sure that woman already has you wrapped around her little finger. Isn’t she like, what, 5 ft?” Blaine smirked, and I poured myself another glass.

“You both can go to hell.”

“Before we do, I need a little assistance from you,” Blaine stated, getting serious. Benjamin stepped out of the room as I spoke.

“What seems to be the problem?”

“I’m obtaining contracts from companies wanting me to take over or offer services. I need you to check to see if they have a bad history of handling their accounts and their success rate. If they don’t, then your people would need to make a transfer, so we’ll be in full control.” I processed this information for a bit. Blaine was the owner of Porter Industries and owned many multinational retailing corporations. He also gives me the responsibility of managing the company stocks.

Every few months or so, he finds companies going downhill, buys them for a few million, and fixes their entire enterprise, with my help, of course. In the end, he earns double what he spent in a year and adds it to the list of his properties and assets.

“What is the estimated range of profit?” I asked.

“Eight figures and in less than two years, if they are successful, it estimates around nine, maybe even ten.” He replied.

“Any companies overseas?”

“Less than half.”

“And I would be accompanying you to attend different meetings overseas as well?”

“That is the plan, yes.”

I nodded my head. “Come by the office next week. From there, we’ll discuss the days of travel or meetings.”

He tilted his head to the side. “Who’s going to answer when I call? Anna or Brielle?”

I rolled my eyes. “Piss off.”

Setting the phone down on the receiver, I continued reading the required agreements for the many meetings scheduled for today. Brielle should have been here as soon as her shift started, and like clockwork, the door opened precisely at eight. I glanced up, and my breath hitched slightly as Brielle hurried into the office with my coffee in one hand, her new laptop in the other, and her bag on her shoulder.

She came in slightly panicked, though that didn’t affect me. The fact that she came in with an outfit that made her look admiringly ravishing practically had me choking on my spit. Her white pencil skirt looked tighter than yesterday’s black one, along with her fitted beige V-neck long-sleeve blouse. Today’s outfit only accentuated more of her beautifully formed figure, which I reluctantly had to look away from.

“G-good morning,” She wheezed, nearly out of breath. Her hair flowed down her back, and she wore a different pair of heels today. For a woman who virtually oozed clumsiness, she had my pants tightening with the way she seemed to sway her hips effortlessly.

“Here’s your coffee, Mr. Russel. I-I also set up the laptop and iPad as you requested, sir.” She sat the coffee down, and I again had to look away as she bit her lip and made eye contact with me. This woman has no idea what she does to me with that damn lip bite and her newly found curvy little body.

“Thank you, Ms. Newman. As you know, we have plenty of meetings arranged for today, correct?” I asked, raising my eyebrow, and she nodded her head.
