And now that I have revealed to the world my status as Jesse’s mate and have my own flesh and bone vampire lover to draw inspiration from? Each new release jumps to the top of all the bestseller lists. Readers are as ravenous for every book as I am for the real thing.

Jesse has me naked in a flash, then drops to his knees before me, sending my thoughts scattering. My fingers tangle in his hair as he laps at my slick flesh, his tongue burrowing in to worship my clit.

“God, I love you so much,” I groan, throwing my head back as my legs start to tense and wobble.

I’m already closing in on a second orgasm, and we’ve barely just begun.

Jesse mumbles something unintelligible as he works, his voice vibrating against my sensitive flesh. The sensation sends me spiraling to new heights, and as if he knows exactly how close I am, Jesse sucks my clit between his lips, throwing me right over the edge.

I shout and crumple to the floor, the strength draining right out of me. Jesse, of course, catches me before I hit the hard surface, spreading me out gently before ripping his own clothes off. I open my arms, and he stretches over me, his cock sliding home in one swift motion.

We lay there––completely still–– for several beats as my inner walls pulse and flutter around his length. Like torture victims finally feeling a brief respite, we take a few moments to enjoy the relief of finally being locked together as one.

And when I say “finally,” I mean since this morning when we had some fun in the shower.

We cannot get enough of each other. And I’m fairly certain we never will.

“I love you, Eden,” he whispers just before his hips start to move. “Marry me.”

“What?” I gasp, wrapping my legs around his hips and holding him deep inside me as I meet his earnest gaze.

“Marry me,” he repeats, rolling his pelvis in a way that he knows drives me crazy.

“But…why?” I choke out past the pleasure.

We’ve been together for years, now, and neither of us is going anywhere. A piece of paper changes nothing, yet I can see in Jesse’s eyes how important this is to him.

“You are my mate, and nothing will ever change that,” he says, rolling his hips again and grinning at the tiny noises the move pulls out of me. “But I want to be your husband. I want to call you ‘wife.’”

“You can call me whatever you want,” I breathe, tightening my inner muscles to drive him as crazy as he’s driving me.

He leans down and presses a kiss to my throat, murmuring, “I want to be tied to you in every way, but it’s not just for me. Or for you.”

Sliding my fingers into his hair, I grip it and pull his head up so I can see his eyes. “What do you mean?”

“I have no living blood relatives, Eden, but you do. Your mom probably held dreams of seeing you in a white dress, and your dad would’ve wanted to walk you down the aisle. They missed so much when they faked their deaths to protect you. And when you became a vampire, they lost so much more. But we can give them this. A traditional wedding. A celebration of our eternal love and happiness.”

He’s right. And he’s proving, once again, that he deserves all the love and devotion I’ve felt for him over the years.

My eyes sting with emotion as I nod my head erratically. “Okay. Let’s get married.”

His lips curve up into a smile, and he proves my attempt to hold him still with my legs was futile when he bucks his hips, pulling out and thrusting back in so deep, my eyes roll back in my head. He keeps going, pumping into me faster and faster until all I can do is hold on for the ride.

With a sharp, feral growl, he lowers his head and sinks his teeth into my neck, making me scream as a reality-bending orgasm explodes inside me. A few strokes later, he plunges deep and freezes, his teeth releasing my flesh as he roars through his own release.

He collapses atop me, and I run my fingertips over his back as we float back to Earth. A few minutes later, my phone chimes. Jesse reaches over to grab my pants from the floor beside us, tugging the device from the back pocket before rolling off me and handing it over.

Checking the notification, a laugh bubbles out of me before I mumble, “Fucking Erik.”

Jesse lifts his head in question, and I hand the phone to him before staring up at the ceiling with a serene smile.

“Congratulations,” Jesse reads aloud. “As your maid of honor, I get to choose the bridesmaids dresses, and I look amazing in red. Just saying.”

The text message came from Steph, of course, who’s been holed up in Erik’s room all day after returning from a short trip to Georgia early this morning. While she lives here with us, now, she has to travel a lot for witch business, as well as to check on Blessed Brew. She’s intent on keeping her aunt’s legacy running smoothly, so she visits several times a month.

And every time she returns, she and Erik lock themselves away for hours to reconnect. Even when she’s only gone for a day or two.

“We really need to sound-proof this whole room,” I grumble, but there’s no heat behind it.

I’ve come to terms with the fact that every vampire in the manor can hear us when we’re not in the bathroom, just as I can hear them. Most of the time, we all tune each other out, but obviously Erik heard the conversation we were having while Jesse was buried deep inside me…and told Steph all about it.

“We can do whatever you like, wife,” Jesse replies, grabbing onto my hips when I roll over to straddle him.

“I’m not your wife, yet, Your Highness,” I tease, rubbing myself along his glorious cock.

“Soon enough, my love,” he says, lifting me before pushing me back down onto his waiting erection. “You’ll be mine, forever.”

I already am his, even without the marriage. Forever and always.

And nothing will ever change that.
