My mouth dropped open as I rose to my feet, stepping back into the house. I closed the door softly, then walked towards her, aware that my presence didn’t faze her like it usually did.
“You’ll come to bed with me?” I mumbled, my eyes boring into hers as she wet her lips, nodding.
“Onlyto sleep.”
“Whatever,” I said, reaching out for her.
She grabbed my hand, gripping it tightly.
“I’m serious; I want you to rest.”
“Why are you so concerned?” I shook my head in disbelief as she shrugged.
“Come on; I’m freezing.”
Is this girl for real?
I followed her upstairs, and when we got to the landing, she hesitated, glancing at Ellie’s door. Her silky little ensemble looked fucking hot on her, her nipples evident through the fabric.
Fuck it, whatever.
I pushed open my door, and she stepped in, shivering.
“You should’ve worn the hoodie,” I said, unbuckling my jeans as she slid into my bed.
She made a face, checking the covers as I laughed.
“What are you looking for?”
“Semen stains.”
I laughed as she fluffed the pillows, casting me an exasperated look.
“Sweetheart, I use johnnies. No semen escapes those on my watch.”
I stripped down to my boxers, and she closed her eyes until I hit the lights. Then, climbing into bed beside her, I tugged the duvet, turning towards her when she exhaled.
“At least try to sleep.”
I could feel her body heat from where I was.
There was no fucking denying she was hot for me, considering how cold she had been seconds ago.
“Come here,” I whispered, extending my arm for her to come closer.
My heart beat like a fucking drum when she did, resting her head on my chest.
“You’re cold.”
I ran my hands up and down her arms, wrapping the duvet around us as she yawned.
“Night, Logan.”
I stilled, realising that this was all we were going to do. I was nowhere near tired, but I couldn’t move with Jessica half asleep on me, her sweet perfume and hair shampoo pleasing my senses.
“Night, sweetheart.”
It’s going to be a long night.
