Stop comparing him to Logan!

"I am," I said doubtfully, licking my hand before tipping salt onto it.

"Where's your weird friend?" Ellie asked the tattooed guy, looking around him suspiciously.

"I dunno… why? Did you like him?"

I knocked back the tequila, my insides burned as I desperately sucked on the lemon.

"Atta girl." He laughed as Ellie screwed her face up.

"Ew. Not my type." She huffed as I reached for the salt again, grimacing. "Come on,Beth, down it."

I laughed at my allocated name for the evening, downing my second shot. I gulped at my vodka, desperately trying to rid my throat of the taste.

"Don't buy tequila again," I complained as Ellie threw her head back with laughter.

"What's your poison?" The tattooed guy asked, his eyes locking onto mine.

"Um, you mean like shots? I don't like any; they just serve a purpose to a cause." I shrugged, and he nodded and caught the bartender's attention.

"Four Absinthes."

"Absinth?" Ellie echoed, turning to study the bar with curiosity. "That's strong shit."

"You've tried it?" He asked, placing his hand beside me on the bar.

"Yeah. But why'd you order four?" Ellie frowned as the guy in front of me greeted someone behind him.

"Hey, Ban. Meet Beth and…" The tattooed guy looked at Ellie expectantly as she gazed at the man beside him.

"Ellie," she breathed, and I shot her a surprised look before following her gaze.

Ban had the bad boy player look down to a T, all leather and tattoos, and a cigarette dangled from his lips. Messy blond hair covered his face as he pushed it back.

"Hey, Ellie. Cute name."

"For a not-so-innocent girl." She winked, and he grinned, holding her gaze.

"My name is Ted," the man beside me mumbled, reaching over to pay for our drinks. "Here's to getting fucked up."

We all clinked glasses, and as I swallowed the vilest liquid I'd ever encountered, Ted took my hand, leading me to the dance floor.

"I hope you can dance,” he smirked, and I turned to see Ellie following closely with Ban. "Because I've got a reputation here; I'd hate to ruin it."

I allowed him to pull me closer to him as he hooked my legs over his thigh, moving to the music with me expertly. My hands laced around his neck as we moved, and I closed my eyes, his hand spanning my back as our hips moved in perfect rhythm.

"Oh, youcandance," he said with surprise as I rolled my eyes. "Not just a pretty face, huh? So where's your man at?"

"Myman?" I echoed, enjoying the way his hands felt on my body.

The alcohol was flowing through my veins, and I relaxed.

"I don't have a man," I said, looking up into his eyes.

His face dips down to mine, and his breath fans my cheek.

"That's the best thing I've heard all day, and I've had a good fucking day,” he smirked against my jaw as I ran my hand over his stubble.
