Ellie looked tearful, and Jessica shot an anxious glance at me, which I pretended not to see. Finally, the blond stepped up between Raff and Ellie, and Ellie turned away, dragging Jessica to the ladies toilets.
Raff looked agitated, and he exchanged unpleasantries with the blond dude. I recognised the one Jessica was with from somewhere, but I couldn’t figure out where. Raff shoved the guy in the chest, and the next thing I knew, the guy was squaring up to Raff with a sinister grin on his face.
Alarm bells went off within me, and I strode over, dragging Raff backwards.
“Leave it,” I commanded through gritted teeth, my friend tense and angry beneath my hands.
“She’s not just a fuck, so you better respect her.”
“Raff, come the fuck on,” I muttered as the guy Jess was with turned to Raff.
“We’ll respect their desire to be fucked beyond recognition. Now fuck off.”
A spark deep within me ignited, and I couldn’t help but glare at the cunt beside me.
“That’s mysisteryou’re talking about; watch your mouth,” I warned as Raff shook me off.
“Which one? The one I’m going to fuck, or the one he’s going to fuck?” The dick replied, lifting his eyebrow at me. “Look at your fucking eyes, man. You’re wired. Let the men deal with the women, yeah? You cokeheads go and snort some more of your winnings.”
I froze at his words as Jessica and Ellie returned, avoiding our glares.
“Shall we go, baby?” Blondy murmured to Ellie, who nodded, slipping her hand into his.
I couldn’t move, my eyes glued on Jessica’s. She glanced at me, and I saw uncertainty in her eyes for one heated moment.
“Can you give me a minute?” She said sweetly to one of the Chuckle Brothers, who grunted in response. “One second,” she said to Ellie, who rolled her eyes.
“Whatisyour problem?” Jessica asked, folding her arms as she glared up at me.
“I don’t have a problem,” I scoffed as she arched a brow at me.
Fuck, she’s insanely beautiful.
Her green eyes flashed at me as she continued.
“No? Then why are you two squaring up to these men?”
I swallowed, and when our eyes connected for a second, I was tempted to tell her I felt jealous. That it should bemeshe’s going home with; if it’s a good time she’s after, I could give her that.
“Raff likes Ellie,” I mumbled, staring back at her. “That’s all.”
“That’s all?” Jessica echoed, her black lips pursing together. “So it’s nothing to do with the fact we kissed the other night? And slept together in your bed?”
“Don’t be ridiculous. A kiss means fuck all, babe. You go get yours.”
The minute the words were out, I regretted them, but there was no way I could retract them now.
Jessica’s eyes flickered with hurt, but it was gone before she blinked again.
“Ok, cool. Because nothing else will happen between us again.” Jessica smiled coldly, glaring at me as she walked back to the arms of the smug bastard waiting for her. His hands moved instantly to her ass, and I gritted my teeth, forcing myself to look away.
Raff slammed his fists on the counter, but no one batted an eyelid. He wouldn’t even look at me.
“That should beus.”
“Jesus, Rafael, get a grip, man. Ring Margot up and get her to suck your dick.” I laughed harshly as I drew out a little packet from my pocket. “Shall we?”
