“Barely. She’s only, like, fifty.”

Alyssa looked at me. “Sigourney Weaver is seventy-four.”

“What! No she isn’t.”

“I looked it up last night,” she replied. “Seventy-four.”

“Wouldn’t have guessed that,” I admitted. “But to clarify, I had a crush on the Sigourney Weaver from the eighties. And from Galaxy Quest. I don’t have a weird kink for grandmas.”

She patted my thigh. “I knew what you meant. I’d make out with Sigourney Weaver too, especially if she was protecting me from an alien queen.”

“Now that’s my kink,” I exclaimed. “Strong women wearing mechanical exoskeletons.”

Alyssa smirked at me. “I’ll remember that.”

We stared at each other for a moment, then kissed softly. I felt myself come alive as she leaned into me, hand sliding up my thigh as the kiss deepened.

Then she pulled away. “Let’s watch at least some of the movie, first.”

“You expect me to focus on the movie now?” I protested.

She patted my thigh again, fingers barely brushing against the bulge of my cock. “At least until we’ve put a dent in these drinks.”

Alyssa cuddled closer to me as the movie played. This was definitely a date, not just a hookup. I wondered about that for a moment. Alyssa had made it abundantly clear that she was going back to New York when her work here was done, and I didn’t want to get involved in a long-distance relationship. So what were we doing?

That’s a tomorrow problem.

Before I could think about it anymore, there came a knock on the door. I paused the movie and said, “That’s probably the mechanical exoskeleton and matching bikini I ordered.”

Alyssa raised an eyebrow. “That was fast.”

“Oh yes. Same-day shipping on kinky exoskeletons. What a time to be alive.”

“I can’t wait to see you in them,” she replied. “But what am I going to wear?”

“Ha ha,” I said as I opened the door.

Mateo was standing there, holding a six-pack of Corona and a lime. “Ready to play?” he asked, striding right into my apartment. He stopped when he saw Alyssa. “Oh.”

“Hi, Mateo,” Alyssa said, confused. “What are you doing here?”

I winced. “Shit. I forgot we were supposed to play Call of Duty tonight. What about tomorrow night?”

“I am working the bar tomorrow,” Mateo said. He looked around uncomfortably. “I scheduled myself free tonight. I am sorry, I was not intending to intrude. I will go home and…”

“Why don’t you stay and watch the movie with us?” Alyssa suddenly suggested.

Mateo and I blinked in surprise at the same time. “Oh, I do not want to interrupt your… um…”

I glanced at Alyssa. She was smiling at me. Was she just being nice, or did she intend something else?

There’s no way she wants… I thought. She’s just being nice.

“At least stay for a little while,” Alyssa said. “Have a drink, watch some of the movie. Have you seen Alien 3?”

“I have,” he said.

“Sure, have a drink,” I offered. “I’d hate for you to take the night off for nothing.”
