“Yes,” I respond slowly.
She let’s out a sigh, “thank goodness! I was really worried and they clearly care about you so much. So since I’m so happy you made up, I won’t be mad but you owe me for making me worry!”
“You’re the best, I will make it up, I swear! I, unfortunately, have one more request.”
“If it’s to take care of Bailey, I already did, no worries girl,” she responds reading my mind.
“Thank you so much! I’m going to pick him up later and bring him here, since I may be staying over for a few days.”
“Okay, go enjoy your man meat, let’s talk later!” She says and we hang up.
I can’t believe I forgot to tell her, even with everything I have going on, she’s my best friend and I need to do better.
Now, time to get some answers about these guys.

I head back into the kitchen to see the guys have already cleaned up after breakfast.
“Everything okay with Anna?” Jax asks when he sees me enter.
“Yes, I forgot to tell her where I was or that I was sleeping here, she was worried.”
Nic walks up and cups my cheek, “I’m sorry she was worried but I’m glad you have such a great friend watching out for you.”
I can feel myself blush under his attention and he’s right, Anna is an amazing friend.
“Can I learn more about you guys before we need to go to class?” I ask, changing the subject.
“Sure, go get settled in the living room and we will join you in a minute,” he turns around and looks at Jeremy, “Jer go join her and get some skin to skin contact in, since you guys will be in public later.”
Jeremy gives him a nod then gets up to come join me. When we get to the couch I stand there awkwardly but Jeremy takes charge, sitting down and pulling me into his lap.
“I’ve wanted to have you in my lap since I saw you in Ajax’s,” he whispers in my ear and I shiver.
“You wanted me then?” I ask, turning to look at him.
“I’ve wanted you since you fell in my lap at the bar,” he confesses.
I smile and lean in to give him a kiss.
“Why do we need contact since we will be around people?” I ask, unsure why Nic said that.
He sighs, “well it’s going to be hard for both of us to be surrounded by people we may see as competition. I’m not sure how you will handle it, since I don’t know what you are, but I’m going to want to beat every guy who comes near you to a pulp. Some contact now will help the bond settle some and calm those instincts down.”
I nod even though I don’t fully understand the instincts part. The guys keep talking about the instincts of their species, hopefully it’s something this conversation helps clear up.
I can feel the bond singing at the contact between Jeremy and I, and I never want it to stop. It feels incredible.
The rest of the guys come join us taking up spots around the rest of the room and something occurs to me.
I turn to Jeremy, “do you feel that way with them?”
He shakes his head, “no, the bond must know they’re fated for you too because I feel completely comfortable with them around you. Better even, because you’re well protected.”
Ever since we had our talk yesterday, it’s seemed like Jeremy has been more talkative when I ask him questions. I like hearing what he’s thinking.
