His smile widened before he chuckled softly. “It’s okay. There’s no one else’s knot I’d rather have than yours. All part of that dream, you know.”
I wiped a hand over my forehead. Gods, this was embarrassing. “So, what do we do now? I’ve honestly never had this happen before.”
He looked down at me with the softest expression, reaffirming there was no one else I wanted to be with other than him. I was addicted.

I sat up and held him. “That sounds perfect.” Anything was, as long as I got to be with him. I planned to cherish every moment with Utahn while he was on Eurebly. Utahn
I woke up smiling, content after a night of amazing sex. But that feeling was short-lived when I realized I was alone in the bed. Genj’s bed. Where was he?
The door slid open as I contemplated throwing off the covers and searching for something to wear. Genj walked in with a sigh, his eyes narrowed.
Stars, had I done something wrong? I reached out for him. “What is it?”
He sat on the bed with another sigh. “Nothing.” He stretched his neck to one side then the other. “Just Ret being Ret.”
“What do you mean?” Was he being the pesky older brother, or the intense team leader I’d heard both Genj and Ojokun complain about?
“I don’t want to talk about it.” He nudged me to lie back and settled above me on his hands and knees. “I only want to focus on you while I still have you here with me.”
I giggled. “What happened to shy Genj who barely had the nerve to hold my hand when I first arrived?”
“He disappeared the moment I found out my feelings were reciprocated. You brought out my alpha side.” He brushed his lips along mine before nuzzling into my neck and kissing along my collarbone. “And your scent does things to me I can’t explain.”
I cupped his ass with both hands and ushered him up to me. I wanted more kisses, and more of whatever else he would give me before I had to leave later in the day.
We had sex again, but this time it was slower. Less rushed. We held each other the entire time, making the thought of leaving him that much harder to accept. But we had separate lives to return to.
“Let me know when you get home,” Genj said for the fifth time since we’d arrived at the spaceport.
“I will.” I nodded before rising to my toes to give him a quick kiss. “And message me whenever you can. Even if you think I might be sleeping. I’ll respond when I have a free moment.”
“Deal.” Genj pulled me to his chest in a hug and leaned his cheek on my forehead. “I’m going to miss you every second until I can see you again.”
My chest tightened as I held him closer. It sucked that we were finally together yet had no idea when we’d get to see each other next.
My flight was called to board, and I had to leave him but not without more kisses.

I nodded, my cheeks warming at the thought. My best friend had tried to get information from me on my trip home, but I’d refused to tell him anything until I saw him in person.
Vawn chuckled. “From the smile on your face, I’d say you had a really good weekend.”
