“Okay, that’ll be nice. If she brings the old dears with her just watch them because they are trouble.” I chuckle because we have all seen what they can get up to.

Jack arrives, and I quickly go to meet up with Specs and BS at the clubhouse. Specs is watching the street cameras near the family’s home, and it is odd that Corey has not been seen.

“Anything we need to be aware of?” BS asks.

“I would love to know what’s going on inside the house, but there’s nothing that I can tell you. They are inside and I’ve not seen them at all. No sign of the kid.” Specs looks at us and pauses before adding, “I reckon you should take Aaron with you. He was the one you spoke to, and he’s involved already because of that.”

BS takes out his phone and steps out of the office. “If Aaron goes with us, we’ll have to be careful as it makes it official. You know we’ll have our hands tied if we find something fucked in that place.”

“I don’t think so. I reckon Aaron is like Forest with the way they think. They’ve seen too much over the years, although he’s younger. He’ll do what is necessary, and that means burying some asshole.” Specs turns back to his keyboard and when BS steps back inside, he gives me a nod. Which means Aaron is in.

Standing in front of the house an hour later, I tap the earpiece and ask if Specs can hear me, to which he responds in the positive. I look at BS and Aaron and they are both looking like they are as confused as I am. The house is quiet, and no one is in the garden. No lights on in the place, although maybe that isn’t surprising as it’s not late enough in the day for that if I pay attention to it.

“I’m going around the back. Come on, Chaos, we may need you to live up to your name.” Aaron smirks, and I follow him into the yard and calmly walk around to the back of the house.

Nothing is out of place, although the yard is a wreck and needs some time and attention. Aaron gives me a shrug and I think, ‘Fuck it.’

Walking up to the back door, I hammer on it, shouting, “Open up, Federal Agents! Open up!” Nothing for a moment so I kick the door shouting again, “FBI! Open the door!”

Aaron is cursing behind me, but I give him my best grin right as I take two steps back from the door. Shaking out my shoulders, I lift my leg and kick the door hard. It flies open, and I surge forward. Seeing the asshole who was at the river, I snarl, “FBI, don’t try anything stupid fucker.”

I inwardly smirk when he holds his hands up and gives in without a fight. The woman, who I presume is the mother rushes into the kitchen and gasps.

“FBI, where is your son?” I snarl.

“I, I, I…” she stutters.

“For fuck's sake, Aaron, go find the kid.” I stand with my hands on my hips, and I see the moment he realizes I’m not wearing an FBI uniform, but an MC kutte.

His hands drop, and he charges, but I’m ready, and they don’t call me Chaos for nothing. I slam my fist into his face, hearing a grunt at what must have been a painful hit. I don’t wait for him to recover. I go into my one-two routine, turn and elbow him in the side of his head, then swiftly spin again and drop low, punching him in his jewels, taking him down to his knees. Back on my feet I kick him in the head, and he’s out of it.

Turning I give the woman a snarl as she holds a knife out in front of her. “You want to go there? Really? I can get that from you in two seconds and if I have to do that, you’ll be gutted the second after. I have no conscience about gutting you.”

That doesn’t faze this bitch. She lunges forward, lifts her arm to stab me when a loud bang sounds. The woman drops before I even recognize what happened, but Aaron steps forward with a gun in his hand.

“Fucking bitch…” Aaron snarls. Taking out his phone, he makes a call to Forest I guess, as he tells what he’s just done, and I see the man starting to come around, so I kick him hard in the head again.

A small laugh sounds, and turning I see the kid is standing in the door to the hallway, and he doesn’t look as though he gives a shit his mother is dead and I just kicked the shit outta his father.

“He’s coming with us,” Aaron snarls. “You his uncle? Chaos, are you his uncle? I’ll deal with all this shit with Forest.”

When I realize what he’s asking I quickly agree. “Yeah, Corey is coming with me because I’m his uncle.” Nodding like a fucking bobblehead, I must look ridiculous. Then I smirk, kick the asshole again, and give Corey a huge smile. “Come on, Corey, let’s go home.”

Forest arrives with more deputies. I just walk away with Corey, while telling him about where he’s going, and hoping that Victoria will be okay with having a kid turn up at her place.

Arriving at the apartment after shopping for a few things for Corey, because honestly, we walked away with nothing. I got some essentials like pajamas, underwear, pants, t-shirts, and toiletries. I’m sure Victoria will help me sort him out properly. One thing that is playing across my mind is the fact that I’m going to need a house. I can’t have Victoria and Corey in an apartment. We need a proper home.

Tapping my chin, I think about what happens next, but give in when Corey asks if he can have something to eat. We place his things in the corner of the living room and then I send him to shower and change his filthy clothes. While Corey is sorting himself out, I order food and wait for Victoria to come home.

Seeing the note on the kitchen counter stating she’s gone to the clubhouse with Nyx has me sigh a little in relief, because nothing can happen to her at the clubhouse. She’ll be fine, bored more than likely. Little did I know what was going on!
