There was no such thing as a safer place. Not where Josh was concerned. He was a swift-moving river, and I was just caught in his current, unable to get free. Unwilling to try.

“I’m sure,” I told him, meaning the words. It was risky, what we were doing, but I was powerless to stop it. Okay, I wasn’t powerless. A simple word would have sent us in a different direction. But I didn’t want him to stop. I was desperate for him and his mouth and his hands and his attention. He had a way of looking at me that made me feel like I was the only person on the planet.

He flicked my pants open and snaked his hand inside, as he pressed his lips against mine again and slipped his tongue inside. My brain short-circuited, and all I could think was that Josh was going to ruin me. And I was going to let him.

And I was going to enjoy every single second.

EIGHT

JOSH

All nightI’d wanted to get my hands on David. So much of my sex life had been pure fantasy. The realness of David made my head spin. His kisses were on the shy side of eager, and he touched me like I was something he was afraid of breaking. The way he let me take over had excitement pounding through me. The beat of my heart pulsed between my legs, and I felt the hitch in his breath when I snaked my hand into his pants.

David was rock hard, and his underwear had a damp patch on the front. He trembled against me as I held him in my hand. I dipped my fingers into his briefs. Swiping my thumb over the head of his dick, I loved the way it made him tremble and shake like he wasn’t going to last. It struck me that it might be a possibility.

“When’s the last time you had a mouth on your cock?” I whispered in his ear as I worked him free of his pants, tucking his briefs behind his balls to keep them out of the way.

David huffed out a weak laugh. “There might be dust on it.”

“Well,” I grazed his mouth with mine, teasing him with the ghost of a kiss. “Let’s find out.”

I put my porn skills to use and dropped to my knees in a practiced motion. David’s eyes widened. Staring down at me, they were two black pools of lust. His mouth hung open a little, and he whimpered when I wrapped my hand around the base of his shaft.

Putting my finger to my lips, I made a shushing noise, reminding him to keep it down. The garden would be closing soon, and we were definitely at risk of being caught. Determined to make it the best, fastest blow job of his life, I got to work. He watched, eyes heavy with interest as I swirled my tongue around the head, then took him in my mouth.

He didn’t taste like dust. He tasted like salt and skin. Like the perfect nothing of a clean cock. He wasn’t porn-star huge—thank God, honestly—and he was cut. His cock had a nice little curve off to the right. David sank his hands into my hair, but didn’t push or pull. I looked up at him, and he was already ruined.

Panting quietly, his hair was a wreck. He looked freshly fucked, and I’d barely put my mouth on him. God, he was so fucking hot. The textbook definition of a silver fox. Broad shoulders, salty hair, a face with a story written between the fine lines. He was a wet fucking dream. And right now… he was mine.

“Josh, I—” David whispered my name, and I wanted to pin him down and ride him right then. I wanted to fuck his face and leave a million marks on him. I wanted to claim him as mine because it felt like he’d claimed me already. There was so much in the way he said my name. The one syllable ruined me.

Grabbing his hips, I pulled him closer. I took him deep. All the way down. That’s when his hands really did grab my hair, more out of shock than anything. He moaned again, a little louder.

“Josh—I—close. Close. Please.” David sucked in a breath. “Fuck.”

And then he was coming, straight down my throat. I swallowed his load, every bit of it. Every drop. I set his pants to right then got to my feet and only then did I let myself look at him.

Unable to resist, I straightened his hair and his shirt. I made sure he was presentable before taking his hand and leading him out from under the tree.

“If that wasn’t your favorite spot before, I bet it is now.”

David laughed at that and tugged me closer, dropping my hand to wind his arm around my waist. “I’m never going to look at that tree the same way again.”

Laughter bubbled out of me. “Sorry, not sorry.”

“The garden is about to close, but I don’t think I’m ready for the night to be over yet,” he admitted quietly as we strolled back toward the entrance.

I was no longer half as interested in the plant life as I’d been on the way in.

“Well, the night doesn’t have to end. I happen to have left my dog at your place, so I have no reason to hurry home. If you wanted company for a while.”

He looked at me and smiled. Warm. Friendly. Intoxicating. “I’d like that.”

The drive back to his place was nice. I put my playlist on, and David seemed to enjoy it, singing along softly as he held my hand or rested his on my thigh when I needed both.

We didn’t talk very much, but the lull in conversation felt natural, like we were both equally happy to just exist near the other person. We didn’t have to keep up a long string of small talk or search for the perfect conversation starter. We could just chill and hang out, and it was so fucking nice to be with someone I didn’t feel I had to perform for in one way or another.

When we got back to his place, we greeted our dogs, who acted like we’d been away from them for decades instead of a couple of hours.
