Aiden snorted.“Betty, you already know what we want.”

She rolled her eyes.“Yeah, I do.How about the lady?”

The thought of eating made her want to gag, but she knew she had to do the best she could.

“What is your soup of the day?”

“Beef vegetable.”

“That sounds good.”

“What else, baby?”

Camila looked at Malik and shook her head.“I’m not very hungry.”

“But you can’t find a better burger within a hundred miles,” Aiden said.

“And I’ll have a taste of yours,” she said and smirked as the waitress laughed.

“I like her, guys.”

Malik grinned.“We do, too.”

After the waitress walked off, Camila patted Aiden’s arm.“Don’t worry, Aiden, I won't eat too much of your burger.”

Malik chuckled when Aiden grumbled good-naturedly.

Within an hour, they were headed back up the mountain, and every mile that passed, Camila relaxed a bit more and breathed a little easier.

When they got home, she was laughing at a story Aiden was telling.

They carried everything in and helped her put it away.

“I say we go on a hike.We can show her around the area.”

Camila brightened and grinned at Aiden before she turned to Malik.

“It’s a great idea.Let’s head out.”

By the time they got back from the hike, the sun was starting to set, and they were all hungry again.Since the electricity was back on, they were able to make a full meal and enjoy it at the table.When it was time for bed, the three moved to the bedroom to sleep.The mattress was much better than lying on a hard floor.

She walked back into the bedroom from the master bath after taking a shower.

“You might as well take that thing off,” Aiden advised as he lay on his side with his head propped on his hand.“In fact, where the hell did you get that nightgown?”

“At the store you and I were in.”

He grunted.“I don’t care, take it off.We want you naked in this room, got it?”

She rolled her eyes, pulled the gown over her head, folded it, and set it on the dresser.

A scream tore from her throat when Aiden grabbed her arms and effortlessly pulled and rolled until she was underneath him.

“How the hell do you do that?”she asked.

He chuckled and took her lips.

“That’s a good way to keep her quiet,” Malik said as he slid under the blanket.
