“We grew apart.”
“And during that time, you both moved on?”
“Yeah,” Sianni answered.
I glanced at her. That part wasn’t hard for her to say because, unlike the rest of this shit, Sianni really had lived her life before me.
The interviewer nodded. “Then, years later, you found your way back to each other?”
“Yeah,” I answered.
“How?”
I looked at Sianni, and her ass looked right back at me, probably waiting to see what the hell I was about to come up with.
I smirked.
“Shit, some people you just can't stay away from.”
Sianni rolled her eyes, but that smile gave her away.
“See how full of himself he is?”
“Am I lying?”
She didn't answer.
“Exactly.”
The interviewer laughed. “Okay, then, I have to ask. Who fell first the second time around?”
“Her.”
“Kyrie!”
“What?”
“You are lying!”
“How the fuck I'm lying?”
“You fell first.”
“Who told you that?”
“You did!”
“When?”
“Boy, don’t sit here and act brand new.”
I stared at her for a second before looking back at the interviewer.
“She fell first.”
Sianni threw her hands up. “Whatever.”
I laughed and pulled her hand back into mine.
