“Aight, ma. I fell first.”
Her entire expression changed.
“That’s what I thought.”
“Don't get too happy. I only said that shit so we can move on.”
“Uh-huh.”
The interviewer smiled. “I'm going to stay out of that one.”
“Smart woman,” I muttered.
Sianni elbowed me.
“Okay,” the interviewer continued. “What's something about your marriage that people would probably be surprised to learn?”
Sianni didn't even hesitate.
“He’s needy.”
My head snapped toward her.
“Who the fuck needy?”
“You.”
“Sianni, stop lying to these people.”
“I’m not lying.” She laughed. “Kyrie acts all tough and everything, but this man wants attention twenty-four-seven.”
“That is fucking cap.”
“Really?”
“Really.”
“Who popped up on my girls’ trip because he missed me?”
I went quiet.
The interviewer’s eyebrows shot up. “You crashed the girls’ trip?”
“I ain't crash shit.”
Sianni was already laughing.
“I pulled up for a few hours.”
“Because?” she asked.
I looked at her.
“Go ahead, Big Daddy. Tell them why.”
I sucked my teeth. “Because I wanted to see my wife. The fuck?”
“Aww.”
