That finally caught her attention, and she shoved Alexia away and stepped back, breathing hard. Alexia looked a fucking mess, but so did Drayla.
“You’re lucky she's pregnant,” Drayla snapped, pointing at her. “Because the only reason I'm even in this shit is that she can't beat your ass like she wants to.”
“Fuck both of y’all!”
I handed Drayla her purse, then stepped beside her.
“Nawl, fuck you.”
Alexia looked at me, and I stared right back.
“And since you wanted to know how perfect my life is?” I shook my head. “My life ain't perfect, bitch. Never claimed it was. The difference between me and you is that I don't have to tear another woman down just to feel better about mine.”
Her face twisted.
“And stay the fuck away from me, my husband, and my marriage. Because this right here?” I pointed between us. “Whatever friendship we had is dead.”
“It been dead.”
“Good. Then act like it.”
I turned before she could say anything else.
“Come on, Dray.”
Drayla grabbed my arm and led me back toward the parking lot. We hadn't even made it halfway to the car before she looked over at me.
“You got some fucking nerve.”
I frowned. “What I do?”
“What you do?” She stopped walking. “Bitch, you slapped her twice!”
“She deserved that shit.”
“You are pregnant!”
“I know!”
“Clearly the fuck you don’t!”
Despite how pissed I still was, a laugh slipped out, and Drayla stared at me.
“Shit ain’t funny.”
“I know.”
“You could’ve gotten hurt.”
That wiped the smile off my face, and my hand immediately went to my stomach.
“I know.”
Her expression softened a little, but she still looked irritated as hell.
“You good?”
“Yeah.”
