Her hands found my chest as she peered up at me through her lashes, her eyes wide and innocent. “How can I make it up to you?”

“I have a few ideas.”

She smiled, but there was nothing but heat behind it. She laced her fingers in mine and pulled me up the stairs. When the door shut behind me, she pushed me up against it. Then Paige fucking Brooks dropped to her knees.

“Jesus fuck, baby,” I said, wrapping her ponytail around my fist and she unzipped my jeans and let them drop. “This is a literal dream.”

She took my quickly hardening cock in her hand and pumped it a few times. I held my breath as she stared up at me, poking her tongue out to lick the head, nice and slow. Without hesitation, she wrapped her lips around my length and pushed me to the back of her throat.

The growl that escaped me was animalistic as my fist tightened around her ponytail. My hips started pumping on instinct, making Paige hum in approval.

“You like that?”

She nodded as much as she could so I pumped my hips again. If my girl wanted me to fuck her throat, then that was exactly what I was going to do.

“My god, I have wanted you on your knees for me for so long,” I said as she continued to milk me with her mouth. “You’re so fucking beautiful, Paige. You take me so well.”

My movements became more sporadic as I got closer to the edge. I tried to move her off me but Paige gripped my thighs and held firm as she bobbed up and down.

“Fuck,” I shouted as I emptied myself down her throat with little warning.

Paige caught every last drop as she pulled off me. Looking me directly in the eyes, her throat bobbed as she swallowed.

“Where the fuck have you been all my life?” I asked, staring at her in disbelief.

“Right in front of your eyes.”

LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIPS BREAK HEARTS

I ventured to the main house and found my mom in the kitchen making her famous cinnamon rolls. I slid onto the kitchen island counter as she pushed a steaming mug of coffee in my direction.

“Good morning, Mama.” I smiled at her over my mug.

“Morning, sweet pea.” She smiled back at me as she continued measuring out flour and pouring it into her stand mixer.

I woke up this morning to a text requesting my assistance with morning brunch. While this was a fairly normal occurrence, I couldn’t help the feeling that she didn’t request my assistance just to chat about the weather.

“How are you doing?” she asked without looking at me.

“I’m great.” I forced a smile onto my face.

I wasn’t lying—exactly—but I also didn’t feel at ease. Lottie and I hadn’t spoken in three days, and it was getting harder to avoid her when we were on the same property.

On Wednesday, she skipped family dinner. On Thursday, I saw her heading down the stairs into the rec room so I ran out the back door. On Friday, the boys wanted to have a bonfire, but Cash and I opted to head into Ashton Creek to grab takeout instead.

It was starting to show that our fight was causing stress to the rest of the family. Nothing on this ranch ever stayed a secret. By the morning after our fight, the details of it spread like wildfire in the heat of summer. I hated being the cause of the gossip, but there was no quick fix to this. It was years of buildup that exploded once it breached the surface.

My mom stayed quiet as I gathered my thoughts. “What would you do in my situation?”

“Which situation are we talking about?” she asked, cracking an egg into the mixing bowl.

“All of them?” I answered hesitantly.

My mom looked up at me with a soft smile. “I would have married the man that I love, no matter who had a problem with it.”
