“Oh, goodness. What are you up to?”
“Just put it on.”
She took the blindfold out and slid it over her eyes. I smiled and took her hand, planting a kiss on the back of it. We rode for another ten minutes until I pulled up to the Four Seasons, next to the all-white BMW.
“Hold on, baby.” I hurried and got out, going around to her side and helping her out. I closed the door and stood in front of her, then pushed my tongue inside her mouth. I could tell she was caught off guard, but immediately caught on, feeding me her tongue back.
Piper had no clue how gone I was over her, and it had only been a little over a month. Her vibe, her energy, and overall makeup had me wanting to take that trip back home with her to meet the woman who made such an amazing person.
I had fallen in love with her.
I pulled away, walked behind her, and lifted the blindfold.
“Surprise.”
She stilled for a moment before her head whipped around, looking back at me like I was trying to rob her.
“Surprise? What is the surprise?”
“Do you not see this car sitting here with the pink bow on it?”
“I do, . . . but . . . I know you aren’t saying this is my surprise?”
“It is. One of them.”
She stepped out of my space and shook her head profusely. “No, Khalil. I can’t accept this. I won’t.”
“You can, and you will.”
“Why would you do this? This car is way too expensive!”
“What does the cost matter, Mi Amor? I bought it for you so you can get around and as an early birthday gift.”
“My birthday isn’t until November.”
“Hence me saying early. Don’t refuse me, Pipe. Can you just be happy and show me some love?”
“I—You shouldn’t be spending so much money on—”
I smirked and shook my head as I stopped her from talking. “Don’t tell me what to do with my money. If I could buy you a boat next week, I’d do just that.” I took her hands into mine. “I love you, and I want to see those cute-ass dimples every time you smile. I want to see those big, pretty eyes light up when I do something special for you. I don’t know what you did to me, but I’m in this shit, and I don’t want to get out. I just want to make you happy.”
“A dog would have made me happy.”
I chuckled. “Since you can’t have pets in the dorm, that would have been a waste of money.”
“You are something else, Mr. Grey. What would Nana or your mom think about you spending so much money on me?”
I dropped my head, then looked her in the eyes. “They can’t tell me what to do either, baby. I’m a grown man and want to do something nice for my girl. You told me you had to give up your whip to eliminate a bill to help your moms, so I wanted to get you back right. You deserve it.”
She sighed heavily before turning and staring at the car. When her lips curved into a smile, I knew she was finally embracing the gift.
“You are too much, Khalil, but I guess I don’t expect anything less from you.”
I smiled. “So you like it?”
“I love it.”
I swooped her up, throwing my tongue in her mouth while she wrapped those thick thighs around me. After a minute, I set her on her feet, snatched the bow off the car, grabbed our bags, then took her hand, and led her toward the hotel.
